The LAN dev URL is a non-secure, sometimes restricted browser where createImageBitmap may be undefined; the pick-calibration -> mask decode would then reject. Fall back to a canvas + Image decode returning an ImageBitmap. Contract unchanged (still returns ImageBitmap).
