# Decision log — phoenix-website-hallmark

## 2026-07-16: Project start + Hallmark audit + local prototype
|
|
|
|
**Decision:** Create dedicated Gitea repo `Tony_tech/phoenix-website-hallmark`, store project definition (what/why), full audit notes, and Hallmark homepage prototype. Do **not** deploy to production.
|
|
|
|
**Rationale:** Live site has real content but AI-template structure. Hallmark skill is now available in Leonard. Prototype-first avoids live-patch failure modes. User directed: write only to Gitea and document project purpose.
|
|
|
|
**Implementation:**
|
|
- Repo: `Tony_tech/phoenix-website-hallmark` (main)
|
|
- Files: README, docs/PROJECT.md, docs/hallmark-audit-2026-07-16.md, docs/decision-log.md, prototype/*
|
|
|
|
**Trade-offs accepted:**
|
|
- Prototype is homepage-only (not full multi-page)
|
|
- Uses live CDN image URLs (not vendored assets)
|
|
- Book links still point at production booking (intentional)
|
|
|
|
**Not confirmed:** Preferred production host/stack for eventual cutover (Lovable vs self-host vs other).
