Decision log — phoenix-website-hallmark
2026-07-16: Project start + Hallmark audit + local prototype v1
Decision: Create dedicated Gitea repo Tony_tech/phoenix-website-hallmark, store project definition, audit, and v1 prototype. No live deploy.
Rationale: Live site has real content but AI-template structure. Prototype-first.
Trade-offs: Homepage-only; live CDN images; book links to production.
2026-07-16: Homepage v2 — Ashley vision filter
Decision: Rebuild prototype/ as v2 driven by Ashley’s Gitea brain dump, not Hallmark structure alone.
Rationale: User liked v1 “less slop” but did not love it. v1 was anti-template; v2 must feel like Ashley: clean, safe, professional, warm, intentional; whole-person care; cream/gold/charcoal + Playfair; trust sentence first; Ashley early; no bird wallpaper; soft CTAs.

Implementation: Updated prototype/index.html, tokens.css, styles.css; README note for clone/view.
Trade-offs accepted:
- Still homepage-only prototype
- Sensitive claims (weight loss, faith) omitted until confirmed
- Phoenix logo kept small in header only (not mid-page watermarks)
Not confirmed: Final gold hex preference if Ashley has a different brand book; multi-page IA; production deploy stack.
