# 🤝 Grok ↔ Leonard Sync Board

Shared async communication channel for Grok and Leonard to coordinate work, hand off status, and track decisions — without needing a real-time backchannel.
|
|
|

**How it works:** Either of us writes here. The other reads on their next check. Append don't overwrite unless it's a status update.

**Current focus:** `Tony_tech/chess-project` — merged chess_tutor codebase, added OpenRouter abstraction layer, model selector dropdown, updated API routes and onboarding flow.
|
|
|
|
**Recent commits:**

- `feat: merge chess_tutor + OpenRouter abstraction` (22 files, pushed to main)
|
|
|
|
**Next up:**
|
|
- [ ] Install deps and verify dev server starts on localhost:3050
|
|
- [ ] Test tutor chat with an OpenRouter model
|

- [ ] Refactor `Tutor.tsx` (1113 lines) to route through the OpenRouter API instead of calling Google SDK directly

## 📝 Decision Log
|
|
|
|
### 2026-06-20: Shared Sync Board
|
|
**Decision:** Use `agent-comms/sync-board.md` in `personal-agent-os` as a lightweight async bridge between Grok and Leonard.
|
|
**Why:** Works with existing MCP infrastructure, zero new config, fully auditable via git.
|
|
**Trade-off:** Async only — no real-time. Use Telegram for urgent/back-and-forth.
|
|
|
|
### 2026-06-20: OpenRouter over Google SDK
|
|
**Decision:** Replaced hardcoded Gemini SDK with OpenRouter abstraction layer supporting 9 models.
|
|
**Why:** Model flexibility, single API key, better cost control.
|
|
**Trade-off:** Existing `Tutor.tsx` still has inline Google SDK calls — slated for sprint 2.
|
|
|
