# Daily — 2026-09-10
> Focus-coach log. Written by the mentor from Tony's 21:00 check-in — he answers three
> questions and does not maintain this file. See [[04_Daily/README|04_Daily]].

**Tony's words at the check-in:** *"Day one. We begin tomorrow."*
Logged as it is, with the zeros showing. Today was not a work day and was never meant to be — there
was no block to open. Saying "no" honestly on day zero is the point of the log; inflating a setup
day for the sake of a green first entry would ruin the only thing it's for.
## Decided today
- **Gym: 07:30 AM, Monday–Friday.** Firm. Home ~09:00. Logged as an anchor, not a tracked goal
— the WIP limit of one applies to projects.
- **Work block: 2 full hours per day, every day, on the active item only.** Opens on Tony's
arrival-home text (a real event, not a clock time a long gym session can invalidate).
28 block hours available before 2026-09-24.
- **Deadlines set firm:** 2026-09-24 Thornhill live; 2026-10-10 Veripath binary call.
- **Parked:** "deep sea harness" — correct name **DeepSeek Harness (`dsh`)**, an MIT-licensed
open-source agent harness from DeepSeek (v0.1 dev preview, released 2026-08-13). Tony
deferred it himself in the same breath he raised it. Researched at his request and filed in
the mentor's notes; remains parked.
- **Weekends:** playing it by ear through 2026-09-13. Floor is 1–2 hours of work Saturday,
no gym.
## Correction to the plan — mentor read the vault
Two things the onboarding baseline had wrong:
1. **The Thornhill site is already written and signed off** (2026-08-30, SEO pass with Leonard).
The blocker is not content — it is a **deployment decision**. DNS for thornhillconstruction.net
resolves to `162.255.119.233`, not the VPS (`74.208.111.99`); going live on the VPS needs root.
Options: Cloudflare Pages / Netlify (no root, auto-redeploy on push) or a `*.afterthedemo.com`
preview. Also outstanding: **Yelp carries a wrong number (530-344-1504)**, **Google Business
page not listed**, NAP consistency across listings.
2. **Phoenix Salon + Spa is not a separate project** — it is Veripath's current active client
(Ashley, Cameron Park). It was logged earlier today as "queued next-up," which was the wrong
frame; it is live client work.
## Consequence
If the site is already written, the 14-day finish line is closer to **6–8 hours** of work than
28. That frees block time for **Veripath** — the project Tony raised today as overwhelming him.
A plan that parked Veripath until Oct 10 with zero scheduled hours was always going to feel bad
on Oct 10.
## Drift
- 1 flag: "deep sea harness" volunteered unprompted mid-conversation. **Tony self-corrected
before the mentor had to** ("But I need to complete these important projects first"). Logged in
`coaching/drift-log.md`. That is the target behaviour, not a failure.
## Open
- Deployment path decision — genuinely Tony's call (DNS + credentials).
- Is Larry's `Larry@ThornhillConstruction.net` actually wired, and does the contact form submit
to it? Not confirmed in the vault.
- Weekend block trigger — unset by choice this week.
- Veripath: what does the 2026-10-10 call actually decide? Not defined yet.
## Update — later the same day
Tony corrected the mentor: **the site is live.** It is on WordPress + Contact Form 7, not static
HTML. Verified by loading the live page: phone 530-306-4629 ×3, CSLB #336956 ×3, 11 images none
broken, mailto correct, old wrong number absent from the site. His estimate: ~85% finished.
**The mentor was wrong about the deployment blocker, and the cause is worth recording:** it read a
stale `status.md` (last touched 2026-08-31) and published it as current. Tony's own baseline rule
is *"his word is the source."* A vault file is a claim with a date on it, not ground truth. The
vault status file has been corrected so the next agent doesn't repeat it.
Revised remaining work, in order: (1) verify the contact form actually delivers to Larry's inbox —
highest value, ~15 min, and unverified; (2) create the Google Business page — not listed; (3) fix
Yelp's wrong number 530-344-1504; (4) expand the copy, which is thin at ~900 visible characters;
(5) more photos, gated on Larry; (6) ~~remove the stray 🐴 from the `<title>` tag~~ — **corrected 2026-09-11: false alarm, that was the mentor's own browser tool; the site title is clean.** **Nothing is
blocked on DNS, root, or hosting.** ≈4–6 hours of real work.
