Sprint: Gate C · Order 4/6 · Depends on: GC-03

Acceptance (IMPL-PLAN): Duplicate SKU → stop with field-level recovery; no second product. Woo mock 409 duplicate SKU maps to field recovery; draft retained.

Test-SPEC case IDs: GC-2, W-2

Same-PR tests: Tests-with-code — API contract test + integration test with respx Woo mock. Pre-existing SKU lookup returns 409 with field recovery actions; duplicate SKU create maps to edit_sku/open_existing.

In scope:

Pre-create SKU lookup: GET /products?sku={sku} finds existing → 409 duplicate_sku with actions
Woo mock returns 409 for duplicate SKU; server maps to field recovery; draft retained
No second product created on duplicate SKU

Out of scope:

Calibrated upload, taxonomy sync, inference, settings UI, review screen, publish success path

Done when / evidence: API contract test green for GC-2; integration test green for W-2. Evidence path in commit message.
