Interesting Christian Discussions
Project space for deep exploration of Christian theology, philosophy, and scripture.
The Two Core Discussions
These two notes are linked because the second arose organically while wrestling with the implications of the first.
-
If Christ Had To Be Crucified, What Does That Mean About Those Who Crucified Him?
Explores Christ’s voluntary sacrifice, the necessity of the cross, human roles in it, causality, responsibility, and atonement. -
Can Anything Happen Outside The Will Of God?
Explores divine sovereignty, free will, providence, omnipotence, and non-dual views on whether events can occur outside God's will or participation.
Linkage Note: The question of whether the crucifixion was inevitable (and thus what that says about Judas, Pilate, the Sanhedrin, Roman soldiers, etc.) directly prompted reflection on whether anything can happen outside the will of God.
Usage
- Add new material (insights, scripture, arguments, questions, reflections) directly into the relevant note under the appropriate heading.
- Cross-reference between the two discussions as connections emerge.
- This is a living space for ongoing dialogue with the texts and ideas.
