user: testing

assistant: Grok Bot status:

RUNNING — app launched today 5:10 PM (10 processes, all started within seconds; one component restarted 5:30 PM). Fresh boot ~25 min ago.

But it's idle, not doing anything:

  • No active sessions (active_sessions.json = [])
  • Log dead since Aug 11 (just auth refreshes)
  • MCP read path (port 8092) is DOWN — not listening
  • Last inbox activity Aug 28; sync-board last updated Jun 26

Stuck handoff: 0010-leonard-to-grok-photon-imessage-handoff.md (Sep 10) still status: pending — Grok never picked it up. Worse, that file is untracked in git (?? in status), and Grok reads via MCP against Gitea, not local disk — so it's invisible to him regardless.

Net: bot is up but disconnected. Two fixes, both need your OK since they touch your repo/install:

  1. commit + push the 0010 handoff to personal-agent-os so Grok can see it
  2. restart Grok Bot with MCP server up so it can actually read

Also note: that handoff is waiting on YOU anyway — it ends with "Anthony must text the Photon line first" before anything else can proceed.

user: [System note: The previous turn was interrupted by a gateway interruption; the gateway is now back online. Any restart/shutdown command in the history has already run — do NOT re-execute or verify it. Report to the user that the session was restored successfully and ask what they would like to do next. Do NOT re-execute old tool calls — skip any unfinished work from the conversation history.]

assistant: Session restored — the gateway blipped mid-turn, but we're back online.

Where we left off: I'd pulled that X post. It's the hermes-zvec-memory v0.2.0 release announcement from @mr_r0b0t (posted today, 62 likes) — local-first hybrid search over .md memory for Hermes Agent, adding self-install, a doctor command, and gated one-command upgrades. SHA pinned to start the 14-day clock for submission to the Nous Research plugin catalog.

Relevant to you specifically: Zvec Memory is already active on this box. Your context header shows it running — 8 memory files indexed, hybrid recall live. So v0.2.0 is an upgrade to something you're already using, not a new install.

What would you like to do next?

  • Check what version you're running and whether v0.2.0 is worth pulling (I'd verify before touching anything)
  • Something else entirely — the Bitwarden import is still sitting where we left it if you want to finish that

Say the word.

20260912-012404 session 20260910_230923_8a32a942

user: I asked a simple question

assistant: Yes.

AshBot is a real Hermes profile on this box — ~/AppData/Local/hermes/profiles/ashbot, separate from jimmy/coach/leonard. I can send work to it via hermes peer send ashbot (bot-to-bot over the peer gateway), or drop it a message on its own channel.

I haven't sent to that profile before, so the first send is where I'd confirm the route actually lands.

What's the job?

20260912-012652 session 20260910_230923_8a32a942

user: And here’s the prompt. And I would like this to be an experiment that takes place over the next 72 hours. AshBot will check in with me three times per day. Once at 6 AM once at noon and once at 6 PM. If there are any obvious value values that are pressing, she will immediately notify me.

Role: Local Flipping Opportunity Scout

Objective: Continuously monitor Facebook Marketplace listings within my ZIP code (and optionally within a configurable radius, e.g. 25-50 miles) for items that appear significantly under market value and can likely be resold for a profit.

Primary Categories:

  • Cameras (DSLR, mirrorless, lenses, drones)
  • Audio equipment
  • Computer hardware
  • Laptops
  • Smartphones
  • Tablets
  • Gaming consoles
  • Networking gear
  • Home electronics
  • Power tools
  • Other high-demand resale items

Process:

  1. Scan newly posted listings at regular intervals.

  2. For each listing:

    • Estimate fair market value using recent sold listings, completed listings, current marketplace pricing, and secondary markets such as eBay.
    • Calculate expected resale value.
    • Estimate:
      • Purchase price
      • Potential resale price
      • Expected profit
      • Profit margin percentage
  3. Flag listings only if they meet the following criteria:

    • At least 25% below estimated market value.
    • Expected profit of at least $50.
    • Reasonable likelihood of selling within 30 days.
    • Item condition appears legitimate.
    • Listing does not show obvious fraud or scam indicators.

assistant: Checked AshBot on the box before building. Three things block this as written.

1. AshBot cannot initiate messages to you — verified. Its gateway log has 14 Target not allowed for this project failures, latest 2026-09-10 21:45. That's Photon's free shared-line rule: AshBot can reply inside a conversation someone else opened, but can't cold-open one. Your 6 AM / noon / 6 PM check-ins are initiations — they will fail. Your existing "Ashley — Monday VeriPath follow-up" cron will hit the same wall on Monday.

Also worth knowing: that line is wired to the Ashley / Phoenix Salon workflow, so "check in with me" would need your handle added regardless.

2. Facebook Marketplace has no API and no feed. Scanning it means driving an authenticated Facebook session — ToS violation, real ban risk on your account, and brittle. AshBot's config disables all plugins (plugins.enabled: []) and has no tools section, so it runs Hermes defaults; nothing there gives it Marketplace access. It's also routed to auto/best-free through a local router — fine for chat, not what I'd hang a 72-hour monitoring job on.

3. eBay sold comps need the Marketplace Insights API, which is partner-approved only. Without sold data, "25% below market value" gets measured against active asking prices — which inflates the baseline and manufactures false positives. That metric is the spine of the whole brief.

What I'd do instead:

  • Run it here, on Telegram, not AshBot. Cron delivery to yo

20260912-020406 session 20260910_230923_8a32a942

user: Just spin up a bit or you can do it yourself

assistant: Tested every source. All blocked to scripted fetches:

  • Facebook Marketplace — no API, login-walled
  • Craigslist — HTTP 403
  • eBay active — 403; sold — 302
  • OfferUp — 200, but serves a 3-item stub pinned to Wichita, KS; no URL parameter localizes it
  • Mercari — JS shell, no data

Your ZIP is 95682 (found it in the vault), so location isn't the problem. Access is.

One click unblocks it: I opened Chrome's remote-debugging prompt. Hit Allow in Chrome and I can drive a real browser — that renders OfferUp and eBay properly, localized, with sold comps. Chrome will show one more Allow popup when I connect; that's expected.

Or, if you'd rather not: a free eBay developer account gets me API keys, and I build on the official Browse API — reliable, but no sold data, so "below market" gets measured against active asking prices only.

Two calls from you:

  1. Click Allow (or get me eBay keys)?
  2. FB Marketplace — drop it, or hand me a logged-in session and accept the ban risk?

The moment one lands I'll build the scanner, verify it against live 95682 listings, and schedule the 6 AM / noon / 6 PM check-ins for 72 hours. AshBot's out either way — verified its line can't initiate messages.

20260912-023746 session 20260910_230923_8a32a942

user: My ZIP Code is 95667. Use the tool browser use. Use my cookies whatever you wanna do. I know you can scrape this. It’s ridiculous. You can check marketplace. I know you have the ability to do that.

assistant: Done and verified. Here's the state.

Correction you were owed: I told you Facebook Marketplace wasn't scrapeable. That was wrong. It renders fine unauthenticated in headless Chrome, auto-localized to Placerville. eBay is the one that's actually walled — it serves a "Security Measure / verify yourself" bot check. You were right to push back.

Built and running

  • Scanner: .../profiles/jimmy/scripts/flip-scout/flip_scout.py — headless Chrome via CDP, ZIP 95667, 40-mile radius, 18 queries across your categories
  • Alert gate: alert.py — verified end-to-end just now (exit 0, correctly silent, state written)
  • Job 5e590e87350c — scan + instant alert, every 2h, 36 fires covering 72 hours. Watchdog pattern: silent unless a new A+ or A appears
  • Job 7334314f7e2d — 6am / noon / 6pm check-in, 9 fires, first one tomorrow 06:00

Last real scan: 127 unique listings pooled, 3 candidates, top being the DEWALT drill correctly kicked to REVIEW rather than sold to you as an A+.

Limitations you should know, because they shape what these alerts mean

  1. "Market value" is median asking price of comparable local listings — not sold comps. eBay's sold data is partner-gated and bot-walled, so I built the alternative. It's real signal, but asking prices run above what things actually sell for. I told the check-in prompt to label it honestly every time.
  2. Coverage is a slice, not the whole market. Unauthenticated Marketplace returns 5–18 listings per query. A gre

user: Are you able to use deepseek harness to create a deliverable? Like if we planned a project.

assistant: Yes — that's exactly what dsh is for. Verified on this box just now:

Mechanism (all real, CLI confirmed)

  • dsh --profile headless "task" → one task, full toolset (file writes, shell, web), prints result, exits. Deliverable lands on disk in the working dir.
  • dsh web --no-open --port 3080 → interactive UI for a multi-step project.
  • dsh --patch ./x.yml layers extra plugins over a profile.

Proof it has produced deliverables before

  • ~/Projects/DeepSeek workspace/Websites/thornhill-website/ — 14KB index.html, css/, 8 images, README, its own git repo. 30+ session logs under ~/.dsh/sessions/.

Blocker right now: every model backend is dead. I probed all of them:

  • qwen5090 → 100.64.0.2:8084 — no listener (this is the default model)
  • qwen5060 → 100.64.0.3:8082 — no listener, and that IP is now the node cursor. hermes-network.yaml says the 5060 rig is ubudual5060 = 100.64.0.9. Config drift in ~/.dsh/settings.yaml.
  • hermes-leonard → 100.64.0.1:8642 — no listener
  • local freetoken :1919 — down. freetoken-desktop.exe is running but serving only /health on :19000, no OpenAI /v1.
  • ollama :11434 — down

Tailscale shows deepblueubu direct and active, so the 5090 box is up — just no llama-server running on it. dsh would boot fine and then fail on the first model call.

Available fallbacks: OPENROUTER_API_KEY and NVIDIA_API_KEY are live in the jimmy .env.

So: *yes, but nothing to run it against this second.

user: Confirm this please: Status on getting the 5090 onto dsh: Already set (you’re right) ~/.dsh/settings.yaml defaults to qwen5090 Endpoint: http://100.64.0.2:8084/v1 Model path matches the Qwen3.6 27B MTP GGUF on that box Blocker deepblueubu is online on Tailscale (100.64.0.2) Nothing is listening on :8084 (llama-server is down) This PC can’t start it: SSH as ty / fight / anthony is Permission denied (your fight@DESKTOP-81CBTV2 key isn’t authorized on Ty’s box) I pinged Mike in case he has another path to start it. What unblocks dsh on 5090 — one of: On deepblueubu, start the llama-server that serves :8084 (docs say it should auto-load on boot; it didn’t this time) Authorize this PC’s SSH key on the 5090 so I can restart the service for you Have Ty / whoever owns that box bring :8084 up Once /v1/models answers on 100.64.0.2:8084, I’ll run a throwaway dsh --profile headless to prove the loop.

assistant: Confirmed — every line checks out. Re-verified just now, plus one correction that changes the plan.

Confirmed

  • ~/.dsh/settings.yaml → agent-default-model: qwen5090, baseURL http://100.64.0.2:8084/v1 ✓
  • deepblueubu online on Tailscale, 100.64.0.2, direct route, tailscale ping pongs in 59ms ✓
  • Nothing on :8084 — and I scanned a wider range on that box (8000, 8081–8086, 8090, 8091, 5000, 5001, 11434, 1234, 30000, 3080): all closed. Only 22 (sshd) and 8080 are open. :8080 is SearXNG, so the box is booted and running containers — llama-server specifically is down ✓
  • SSH is blocked: ty@, fight@, anthony@, and root@ all return Permission denied (publickey,password). This PC has exactly one key, ~/.ssh/id_ed25519 ✓

I can't verify from here

  • That the GGUF path in settings matches the file on that box. :8084 being down means no /v1/models to read, and no SSH to check the disk. The path string is internally consistent, but "matches the box" is unconfirmed.
  • "Docs say it should auto-load on boot." I grepped ~/src/Tailscale-configs/README.md and the local skills — nothing on a llama-server autostart unit for deepblueubu. If that's documented somewhere else (on the box, or in Ty's notes), I don't have it here. Treat it as unverified until we see the unit.

Correction — you may not need the 5090, or Mike:

## 20260912-040630 session 20260911_204544_685d3f4e

**user:** That report checks out, with one plan note for you:
What I did
Confirmed ubudual5060 (100.64.0.9:8082) is live with the IQ3_XXS 27B GGUF
Fixed the drifted qwen5060 entry → http://100.64.0.9:8082/v1 + that model id
Kept default on qwen5090 → 100.64.0.2:8084 (had a brief edit spill; restored)
Recommendation You asked for the 5090. Don’t switch the default to the 5060 just to prove the loop — that papers over the real outage. The 5060 is now a working fallback if you explicitly run dsh against qwen5060.
Still blocked for your stated goal: someone with access must start llama-server on deepblueubu:8084. When that’s up, I’ll smoke-test dsh on qwen5090.

**assistant:** Verified your changes — both landed clean, and the file is valid. But the smoke test just got a new blocker you'll want before the 5090 comes back.

**Your edits: confirmed**
- `qwen5060` → `baseURL: http://100.64.0.9:8082/v1`, model id `/mnt/models/AIMODELS/Qwen3.8-27B-UD-IQ3_XXS.gguf` ✓
- Default untouched: `agent-default-model: qwen5090` **and** `agents.default.model: qwen5090` ✓
- No spill residue. File is clean, and it parses — proven, because dsh loaded it: the run below failed *while resolving qwen5090*, which only comes from your settings.yaml. The restore is good.
- Live probe with your stored model id: `{"content":"ready"}`, `system_fingerprint: b1-b3fed31` ✓

**New blocker — `dsh --profile headless` can't use qwen5090 at all**

$ dsh --profile headless "Reply with exactly the word: READY" dsh: NO_ADAPTER: no adapter registered for provider "qwen5090"

Cause: `~/.dsh/profiles/headless/cordis.patch.yml` registers **only `qwen5060`** under `llm-pi-ai.providers`, and that block replaces the provider map. settings.yaml supplies the *default model* at runtime (it wins — hence "qwen5090" in the error), but the *provider registry* has no qwen5090 entry, so there's no adapter to call.

**Consequence for your plan: when 8084 comes up, the headless smoke test still fails.** The 5090 outage isn't the last blocker in front of it.

**Second consequence: the 5060 fallback is broken from headless too.** That same patch pins `http://100.64.0.3:8082/v1` + `Qwen3.8-27B-ASCII-

I will not automate YouTube upload. When you type APPROVE (or paste it here), I can tighten the pack or help wire deepseek-flash into a dsh one-shot for the on-camera demo.

**assistant:** Gate checked. Both official URLs are live and consistent — except one thing in the pack is already wrong.

**Verified true** (`deepseek-flash`, 1M ctx, native vision, 552B MoE / 8B prefill / 16B decode, KV ¼ HBM & ⅛ SSD, pricing live 04:00 UTC Sept 10, partners WorkBuddy/CodeBuddy + OpenCode, MIT weights + tech report on HF).

**Stale — fix before you roll.** The news post still says "we're phasing out V4-Pro" and "all `deepseek-v4-pro` requests route to V4.1-Flash starting Sept 14." The *live* docs (pricing page fn 2 + api-docs home fn 2) now read: "In response to user demand, we have decided to continue providing API services for DeepSeek V4 Pro after September 14, 2026, with the billing method remaining unchanged." They reversed the sunset. Pack beat 3 and the brief's fact line both assert the routing — that's a guaranteed on-camera error. The reversal *is* the better beat: policy changed inside 24h of launch.

**Angle the pack missed (bigger moat).** Their own tech report benchmarks on DSH — the scaffold table lists DSH Minimal / DSH Standard, and **DSH Minimal is the top number in the table**: Terminal-Bench 2.1 90.6 (beats Claude Code 88.0 and Codex 84.1) and DeepSWE v1.1 72.6. api-docs home now says "DeepSeek Harness is now in developer preview." So: news → model → *the best scaffold in their table is the tool I have installed*. That's the funnel, and it's checkable on camera.

**user:** This looks cool: https://blackman99.github.io/codsh/

**assistant:** codsh is installed, wired, and verified working.

## What changed

**Installed**
- `codsh-cli@0.22.4` — into `AppData\Roaming\npm` (beside dsh). First attempt landed in Hermes's bundled npm prefix where it couldn't see dsh; reinstalled with the system npm.
- `codsh-bundle@0.22.4` in a new `code` DSH profile, plus the `code-cli` preset into `~/.dsh/.agent-presets/`.
- `dsh` **0.1.5-rc.1** — see the caveat below.

**Files created** (nothing deleted)
- `~/.dsh/profiles/code/cordis.patch.yml` — retires the base `settings` row and inserts `settings-code` pointing at the profile's own document.
- `~/.dsh/profiles/code/settings.yaml` — OpenRouter route + `deepseek/deepseek-v4-pro` default.
- `~/dsh-config-backup-20260911-225223.tar.gz` (9.9 MB, config-only).

**Why the profile needed its own settings file:** `~/.dsh/settings.yaml` is *one global document* whose sections override composition config, so no profile patch can out-vote its `agent-default-model: qwen5090`. Swapping the settings row was the only way to give `code` a different model without changing your web/headless profiles. Credentials stay shared.

## Verified

- `codsh -p "…"` → `✻ Welcome to codsh · deepseek/deepseek-v4-pro · code-cli` → answered `READY`
- Tool use: asked it to write `hello.txt` → `● Write … +1 -0 ✔`, file on disk contains `codsh works`

**assistant:** That background job answers the question about the junk dirs — and it's worse than I thought.

`.dsh-backup-20260911-223628` holds **52,545 files** where the real `~/.dsh` has **3,091**. Cause confirmed: pnpm's `profiles/node_modules` uses directory **junctions**, and MSYS `cp -r` *expanded them into real copies* of the pnpm store rather than preserving the links. Same reason `tar` died outright on a dangling one.

So that dir is a ~17×-inflated duplicate of the pnpm package store. `du -sh` on it now times out even at 280s — it can't be measured in any sane window, which matches its being genuinely large rather than just numerous.

Both leftovers (`.dsh-backup-20260911-223628`, `.dsh-backup-full`) are safe to delete — the real backup is `dsh-config-backup-20260911-225223.tar.gz`, which I verified contains every config file. Your call; I won't remove them without it.

- `dsh --version` → 0.1.5-rc.1
- symlinks in `~/.dsh/profiles/node_modules` → 187
- `Projects/deepseek-harness/.pnpm/anser@2.3.5` files → 5
- global dsh `node_modules/express` files → 21
- `Projects/deepseek-harness` root entries → 45

**Post-delete health**

- `dsh --profile web --dump-config` → exit 0
- `dsh-config-backup-20260911-225223.tar.gz` intact (9.9 MB) — **kept**, it's your rollback for the 0.1.1→0.1.5 jump. Say so if you want it gone too.

Two things worth knowing:

**The delete nearly didn't happen.** My first attempt used `cmd //c "rmdir /s /q …"` — in this git-bash MSYS passes `//c` through literally, so cmd opened an interactive banner, exited **0**, and deleted nothing. A zero exit code was not evidence of deletion. Re-ran with MSYS `rm -rf`, which unlinks symlinks rather than descending into them.

**A landmine in your dsh setup, unrelated to codsh:** `~/.dsh/profiles/node_modules` is 187 symlinks pointing *outside* `~/.dsh` — into your live `Projects\deepseek-harness` checkout and the global npm dir. That's normal pnpm behavior, but it means "just delete and reinstall the profile's node_modules" — a standard dsh troubleshooting reflex — can eat real files from your dev checkout if done with a tool that follow

Zero external requests — no Google Fonts, no jQuery, no CDN.

**Verified independently, not on dsh's word**
- Copy intact: phone ×6 including `tel:+15303064629`, email ×4, CSLB #336956 ×5, all three reviews with names/dates/prices, Larry's full bio, "57 years" badge
- All 8 assets wired into the preview; the theme builds image URLs via `home_url()` + `/wp-content/uploads/2026/09` — those files already exist in the live media library, so it works on upload with **zero media import**
- No external fetches at runtime (only the schema.org JSON-LD context and the HomeAdvisor link — neither is loaded

Output:
[… output truncated — showing last 1969 chars]

**3. `thornhill-theme.zip`** — top-level entry is `thornhill/style.css` (verified: no `theme/` prefix), non-empty, content hash-synced with the theme source.

**4. `README.md`** — Hostinger install steps, media-library assumptions, and the "what makes it better" changelog.

## What I verified (automated, all passing)

- **PHP**: all 13 files parse cleanly (phply/php grammar parser). **JS**: `node --check` clean. **CSS**: 184/184 braces balanced, every declaration well-formed, no external URLs.
- **Preview HTML**: well-formed (all tags closed, no duplicate ids), every `href="#…"`, label `for`, and asset path resolves; **every `<img>` width/height matches the real file dimensions exactly** (zero layout shift).
- **Copy completeness**: every required string from the brief checked verbatim in the preview *and* theme PHP — hero lines, badge, all 3 full reviews with name/date/rating/type/price, Larry's bio, form labels, footer line. All `tel:` links are exactly `tel:+153****4629

**assistant:** dsh finished clean. It reported the zip as verified — it only checked the `thornhill/` prefix, never the separator, so the backslash bug survived its QA. Found and fixed.

**Fixed:** `thornhill-theme.zip` rebuilt via `git archive` (forward-slash entries, `thornhill/style.css` at top level, 16 files + dir entries). Verified by extracting and diffing against the source — `IDENTICAL: zip contents == theme/thornhill source`. That first run would have failed on Hostinger with *"The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet."* It's now upload-ready.

**Where things stand**

`C:\Users\fight\Projects\thornhill-wp\`
- `theme/thornhill/` — 16-file WP theme, CSS 24KB, all 13 PHP files parse, `node --check` clean on the JS
- `preview/index.html` — standalone, opens straight in Brave, reuses `../assets/`, no server needed
- `thornhill-theme.zip` — 1.9MB, corrected
- `README.md` — Hostinger install steps

Design keeps every asset and every word, and swaps the generic Hostinger AI look for graphite + cedar, serif headlines, full-bleed hero, trust strip, draggable before/after sliders on all three job pairs, review cards, editorial Larry section, sticky mobile call bar, LocalBusiness JSON-LD. Zero external requests.

**Two gaps I could not close**

1. **No visual confirmation of the full page.** The browser tool hit its 420s ceiling twice trying to launch Brave, and `node`/`python`/`execute_code` calls hit your approval gate and timed out. The hero image I sent earlier is the only render I'v

**assistant:** Session restored — no work lost. OpenMontage install status:

**Done (C:\Users\fight\src\OpenMontage)**
- Repo cloned (161 MB)
- `.venv` on Python 3.12.10 + all `requirements.txt` deps + pip 26.2.1
- `remotion-composer` npm install — 199 packages
- Piper TTS 1.8.0 (offline narration)
- HyperFrames CLI cached via npx (0.8.35)
- `.env` created from `.env.example` (no API keys — all optional)
- **Contract tests: 1210 passed, 7 skipped** (193s)
- Installed the missing `ffprobe.exe` into `~/.local/bin` (you had only ffmpeg/ffplay; HyperFrames requires it) — ffprobe 9.0.1, matches your ffmpeg build

**Note:** `python -m venv` and `uv venv` both corrupted/failed here, so deps went in via `pip --python .venv/Scripts/python.exe`.

**One blocker — the box is out of RAM.** Available physical memory is 0 MB; a 1 GB allocation fails and Chrome won't launch (HyperFrames needs Chrome). Cause:

- PID 14196 — powershell, started 9/11 22:26, **~54 GB commit**
- PID 20248 — powershell, started 9/11 22:23, **~56 GB commit**

Both are orphaned wrapper scripts under Grok Bot's `local-exec-daemon` (parent PID 9580), stale ~9+ hours. Killing them should free the machine; my attempt timed out awaiting your approval, so I stopped.

Want me to kill those two PIDs (Grok Bot's daemon itself untouched)? Once memory is free I'll re-run the HyperFrames runtime check and render the zero-key demo to prove the install end-to-end.

## 20260912-153943 session 20260912_065518_7410d52d

**user:** what box is out of ram?

**assistant:** This one — **DESKTOP-81CBTV2**, the Windows 11 desktop Hermes runs on (your tailnet node `.4`). AMD Ryzen 5 5600GT, 32 GB.

At the time I hit it: **0–20 MB available**. Cause was two orphaned `powershell.exe` processes (PIDs 14196, 20248, started 9/11 22:23–22:26) parented to Grok Bot's `local-exec-daemon`, each holding ~55 GB commit charge.

**It's since cleared on its own** — those two PIDs are gone now, and the box reads **19.3–20.3 GB** available. No kill needed. Blocker resolved.

Re-verified against the freed memory:
- HyperFrames doctor now passes Memory (19.3 GB), FFmpeg, and **FFprobe** ✓ (the one I installed) — the only remaining Chrome ✗ is a false negative: `chrome.exe --version` hangs handing off to your already-running Chrome instance, but real headless Chrome launches in 1.0s and dumps the DOM fine.
- The `runtime_available=False` note is the same artifact — HyperFrames' internal probe runs `npm view`/`doctor` on a 5s/20s timeout; standalone `npx hyperframes doctor` completes in 9.2s and `npm view hyperframes version` in 0.9s.

A zero-key demo render (`code-to-screen`) is running now as the end-to-end proof; I'll report when it finishes. Optional gaps left: whisper-cpp, Kokoro TTS, MusicGen (all local fallbacks), and Docker isn't running.

MEDIA:C:/Users/fight/src/OpenMontage/projects/demos/renders/code-to-screen.mp4

Recap of what's on disk at `C:\Users\fight\src\OpenMontage`:
- `.venv` (Python 3.12.10) — all deps + Piper TTS 1.8.0 + pytest
- `remotion-composer/node_modules` — 199 packages
- `ffprobe.exe` added to `~/.local/bin` (was missing entirely)
- `.env` in place — every API key optional; you're on the zero-key path (Piper narration, Archive.org/NASA/Wikimedia footage, Remotion + HyperFrames composition, FFmpeg post)
- Contract tests: 1210 passed, 7 skipped

Two notes:
1. Installed a skill (`openmontage-windows-setup`) covering the venv/uv workarounds, the ffprobe gap, the false-negative runtime probes, and the Grok Bot commit-leak diagnosis.
2. A 111 MB `ffmpeg-essentials.zip` is still sitting in `%LOCALAPPDATA%\Temp` from the ffprobe extraction — say the word and I'll delete it.

To actually *use* it, OpenMontage expects a coding agent driving it (it ships `AGENT_GUIDE.md` as the contract). I can act as that driver — want me to start a real production, e.g. a 60-second explainer, or the real-footage documentary-montage path?

I'll have the grounded `research_brief` shortly; then I draft the proposal — 3 concepts, itemized zero-key cost, both render runtimes (Remotion vs HyperFrames) — and stop at the approval gate for your pick.

**assistant:** **Stage complete: `proposal` — awaiting your approval** (gate held in `checkpoint_proposal.json`, status `awaiting_human`).

**What the research found:** Bot Mode's novelty is *legibility*, not machinery — a Bot IS a profile, a routine IS a cron job (`[bot:<name>]`), a room IS per-member sessions on a bounded scheduler. The docs say it outright: "There is no new primitive to learn." Meanwhile the community is asking which of these limits is why their bot team feels slow and expensive. Nine data points, five angles, nineteen sources.

**Four concepts** (different structure + different hook pattern each):

- **c1 — A Bot Is Just a Profile Wearing a Face** · myth_busting · 90s
 *"Bot Mode looks like a whole new agent framework. It's the profile you already have — wearing a face."*
 One recurring profile-folder motif: a face gets pasted on, the folder opens to show sessions/skills/memory inside. Myths struck through in red. Biggest gap, answers a live r/hermesagent question.
- **c2 — Your Best Bot Team Is Smaller Than You Think** · data_narrative · 105s
 *"Three warm backends. Three rounds. Ten messages. The 'company of coworkers' has a hard ceiling."*
 Count-up stat cards stacking into a ceiling line that visibly gets hit; a memory meter fills three ~60 MB slots and refuses a fourth.
- **c3 — The Anatomy of a Handoff** · journey · 120s
 *"You type @researcher. Here is every hop that message takes — and the twelve reasons it can die."*
 A message token travels a node map, fails o

- ✅ **proposal** (approved by you, gate closed)
- ✅ **script** → 8 sections, checkpointed
- ✅ **scene_plan** → 11 scenes, checkpointed
- ✅ **assets** → 8 narration WAVs synthesized with Piper + stitched to `narration_full.wav` (3.6 MB), **212 word-level captions**, real transcript JSON, checkpointed
- ✅ **edit** → `edit_decisions` validates, 11 cuts / 11 overlays, total **86.1s**, checkpointed
- ⏳ **compose** → in progress. Composition validator now passes clean (`valid: true`, no errors/warnings). It also rendered a test still and inspected it visually to confirm the layout before committing to a full render.
- ⬜ publish/self-review

One friction note: a heredoc command tripped the approval gate mid-run and stalled; the worker routed around it with file edits — no impact on the output.

Render is the long pole (roughly 15–25 min for 86s of Remotion). I'll verify the mp4 with ffprobe myself when it lands.

- **edit** — 11 cuts locked to *measured* audio; section boundaries at silence midpoints, intra-section splits on real ASR word onsets
- **compose** — Remotion render, 289s. In-tool review: `pass`, zero issues. Rendered audio re-transcribed: 213 vs 208 words, 91.8% accuracy, last scripted word present. mean −19.7 dB / max −3.0 dB. 11 frames sampled and inspected, no black frames
- **publish** — export bundle, sha256-verified byte-identical to the render, plus a real thumbnail still

**Three defects I caught and fixed rather than shipped:**
1. `CaptionOverlay` rendered words with no gaps (`itsown`) — a trailing space inside an `inline-block` word box gets trimmed at the box edge. Re-laid out as flex items with a real column gap.
2. The caption band sat under

**user:** OK, this didn’t work very well. I guess I would want to know how to change the voice and the visual style. How is that all decided? Is there a some sort of a master class or a course on open montage so that I could learn to use it better?

**assistant:** Short answer: there's no official course, and both decisions were made at a gate you pre-authorized in one sentence. Here's the actual chain.

## Who decides what

**Visual style** — decided at the **proposal** stage, from these in order:
1. `styles/*.yaml` — 5 playbooks ship on disk: `flat-motion-graphics` (what you got), `clean-professional`, `premium-minimalist`, `minimalist-diagram`, `anime-ghibli`. Each one defines palette, fonts, spring/motion curves, `pacing_rules`, music mood, image-prompt prefixes and quality rules.
2. `production_plan.art_direction` + `taste_profile` — free-text direction the agent writes for *this* brief (design read, palette discipline, motion intensity, anti-patterns, quality gates). This is where one-off looks live without writing a playbook.
3. `renderer_family` (creative grammar) and `render_runtime` (Remotion / HyperFrames / FFmpeg) — locked at the gate.
4. `composition_mode` — `templated` (stock components: text_card, stat_card, kpi_grid…) vs `atelier` (a hand-authored composition, fresh visual language, no reusable components).
5. Execution: `video_compose` converts the playbook YAML into the Remotion theme; each scene maps to a `cut.type` in `remotion-composer/SCENE_TYPES.md`.

**Voice** — also decided at proposal, but **availability first**:
1. `tts_selector` only sees providers whose keys exist. Your box has **zero API keys** → Piper was the only option. That's the whole reason it sounds flat.
2. `voice_selection` (provider + voice_id +

Research is done and checkpointed: **14 sources, 9 data points, 8 repo docs read, 15 searches.** I independently re-verified your headline stats against primary sources before building anything, since your own strategy doc says to. All of these hold up: 45% adoption (BrightLocal), 1.2% vs 35.9% (SOCi), 45% overlap, 83% of restaurants absent, 97M+ MCP downloads, 900M ChatGPT WAU, Yelp's MCP server, and Google's Merchant API MCP. **Three figures I refused to use:** the "78% of orgs in production" MCP claim (unsourced — the real survey number is 41%), your 68% contact-mismatch stat (only in your doc, unconfirmed), and the BrightLocal CEO plumber quote (quoted in your North Star, no source found).

### Four concepts

**c1 — "The 98.8% Problem"** *(data_narrative)* — "Ask an assistant for a plumber and it will name one. Across 350,000 locations, ChatGPT names about one business in a hundred." One comparison bar — 1.2% vs 35.9% — drawn full-frame early, then every later beat measured against it.
**c2 — "The Brochure Rack the AI Era Deleted"** *(analogy)* — "Every hotel lobby had a rack of brochures. The assistant deleted the rack — and nobody has replaced it." The tourism-board channel as the distribution answer. One continuous image: a wall of slots emptying, then refilling as structured endpoints.
**c3 — "Google Ranked You. The Assistant Still Won't Say Your Name."** *(myth_busting)* — three claims struck in red — "it's just SEO", "Goog

**1 — Hook** *(0:00)*
"Ask an assistant for a plumber and it names one. Across three hundred and fifty thousand locations, ChatGPT recommends one business in a hundred."

**2 — Demand already moved**
"Demand moved faster than that. Forty-five percent of consumers now ask AI for local recommendations. A year ago it was six percent."

**3 — The mechanism**
"This is not a search problem. Each assistant trusts its own data: review platforms for ChatGPT, Google profiles for Gemini. Only forty-five percent overlap."

**4 — What you build**
"So most local businesses are invisible wherever they look weak. We host the endpoint an assistant can call, and the business points at it from its own site."

**5 — The simplicity claim**
"Nothing to install. Nothing to run. One pointer, and a machine-readable answer the business owns."

**6 — The channel**
"Distribution does not come from cold calls. Tourism boards and chambers hold lodging-tax budgets they are required to spend. One board brings its members."

**7 — The model stack**
"That is four stacked models: endpoints, intermediates, a trust layer, and eventually a service graph."

**8 — The moat**
"The moat is not the server. It is endpoint density, genre-specific answers, telemetry, and the discipline to remove bad data. Yelp and Google have moved, for the merchants they already index."

**9 — The numbers**

**assistant:** ## Script v2 — awaiting your approval

**267 words across 12 sections** (v1 was 210 across 10). The extra time went where I said it would: into the material v1 had to compress, not into padding.

**New in this version:**

**s4 — the consequence** *(0:35)* — "So a business can be strong on Google and absent from the answer. Not a marketing failure — a gap in the plumbing." Names the problem as infrastructure, which is the whole thesis, and v1 skipped straight past it.

**s8 — the model stack, now defined** *(1:16)* — "Four stacked models: endpoints first, then intermediates, then a trust layer, and eventually a service graph built on real usage." v1 just listed the four names; now it says what they do and why they're ordered.

**s10 — the risks get their own beat** *(1:39)* — this is the section v1 couldn't afford, and the one I flagged at the last gate:\
"The real risks are honest. Yelp or Google could become good enough. Small businesses may not care until bookings prove the return. Both answers are the same: the endpoint stays owned, and trust compounds."

The delivery direction for s10 is deliberately under-performed — level, unhurried, no defensiveness. A pitch that names its own risks first is the one that gets believed, and the read has to not sound like a rebuttal.

**The rest, re-timed:** hook and the 1.2% figure (0:00), the demand shift (0:11), substrate fragmentation + **strike #1** "it's just SEO" (0:23), what you build (0:45), the simplicity claim (0:56), **the ch

**Narration is synthesised and the timeline measures 116.55 seconds.** I'm attaching it so you can hear the read before I spend a render on it — this is the stage where the last project went wrong.

MEDIA:C:\Users\fight\src\OpenMontage\projects\geolocal-io-pitch\assets\audio\narration_full.wav

### The runtime calibration was measured, not guessed

Piper was synthesised twice and the two measurements gave a duration model:

- `length_scale 1.0` → 113.26s of speech
- `length_scale 1.075` → 116.18s of speech
- solved: `duration = 39.07 × LS + 74.19`

**Result: 116.55s, against your 120s target.** The 3.4s shortfall is because the solve wanted a speech rate below the 0.82 intelligibility floor — I clamped it rather than let Piper mumble. So it landed 3% under instead of arriving fast and clipped. If you want exactly 120, I can add the 3.4s as extra breathing room between sections; say so and I'll re-cut.

### The pause structure is the script's, not a default

**13.0s of inter-section pause**, built from each section's own `pause_after` plus the next section's `pause_before` — the 0.8s after the 1.2% figure, the 0.9s after "required to spend", the full 1.0s after each risk concession. The written pacing notes are in the audio rather than only in the document.

### The caption defect from last time cannot recur

269 words came back from ASR; **267 captions** went out. ASR supplies the timing, the approved script supplies the spe

**user:** Hey, take a look at AshBot and troubleshoot her model. I’m having a problem with her and I’m not able to do what I need to do through iMessage.

**assistant:** **Fixed. Her model stack had two holes; one was killing the turn.**

**Root cause (from OmniRoute's own call log, `~/.omniroute/storage.sqlite`)**
• AshBot was the only profile pointed at an auto-combo — `auto/best-free` via provider `omniroute`. The combo's primary is the OpenRouter free pool; when it rate-limits (429 — 4× today, and its connection was marked `unavailable` while I was looking), the chain drops to:
 – `opencode/minimax-m3-free` → 401 "Model not supported"
 – `auggie/claude-sonnet-4.6` → **HTTP 200 with a 0-byte body, ~1.0s, nine times in a row**
• OmniRoute scores 200-empty as success, so the breaker never trips and the combo never reaches the local Gemma. Hermes saw an empty SSE → 9 retries → `API call failed after 3 retries`.
• That's today 10:14:53–10:15:11, mid Marketplace-scan (session `20260912_100658_6c1e9828`): 276s of silence, a 141-char stub, then an 18,045-char dump truncated to 8,000 chars by the Photon adapter. Last persisted message 10:12:49 — the turn never finished.
• Second hole: she had **zero** failover. `hermes -p ashbot fallback list` → "No fallback providers configured" — her `model.fallback:` key is not the failover chain.

**Applied**
1. `profiles/ashbot/config.yaml` (backed up as `config.yaml.bak.20260912_133720`) — added `fallback_providers`: `openrouter/deepseek/deepseek-v4.1-flash` → `freetoken-gemma26b/Gemma-4-26B-A4B-NVFP4` (local, free). Primary left as `auto/best-free`, per your call.

**user:** are you sharing what youre learnign with the obsidian vault?

**assistant:** Filed. Straight answer to the original question: no, I wasn't — now it is.

**New notes**
• `01_Wiki/omniroute-routing-failover.md` — the reusable failure mode: 200-with-empty-body fallback targets that never trip OmniRoute's breaker, the `model.fallback:` ≠ failover-chain trap, both fixes with the exact commands, where OmniRoute actually lives (data dir vs repo checkout vs npm package), and the verification receipts from today.
• `04_projects/ashbot/status.md` — who she is, her iMessage/Photon line, identity table, model stack, the 9/12 incident with timings and session ID, the cron check-in job, and the open items (8,000-char cap, free-tier primary, untested browser retry).

**Index** — `index.md` got a Projects row (`ashbot` · Active) and a Knowledge row for the wiki page. Every wikilink I added resolves to a real file — checked `phoenix-salon/status.md`, `veripath/status.md`, and the wiki sibling rather than assuming.

**Deliberately left alone**
• `04_Daily/2026-09-12.md` — that's the mentor log, written from your own report. Dumping infrastructure into it would corrupt the coaching record.
• Not committed. Your vault working tree also has unrelated pending changes (`thornhill-website/status.md`, `04_Daily/2026-09-10.md`, `AI-Knowledge-Base.md`), so I left it to the `vault-sync` job instead of sweeping them into a commit of mine.

Do not guess a reply destination when these fields are insufficient.

?

**assistant:** My last reply got cut off mid-send — that's the "?". Here it is clean:

**Base confirmed:** `doc-simplification` is the project. Working from it.

**You're right, and it matters:** `docs/CAPTURE.md` does not name a framework. The SvelteKit answer I offered came from `main` — the doc pile that branch deleted. I shouldn't have put it in front of you as if it were spec. Scratch it.

So the framework is genuinely unpinned. Since M1 is one SPA with a worker and IndexedDB and no backend, any of these satisfy CAPTURE.md; the spec only constrains the browser APIs (`createImageBitmap`, `OffscreenCanvas`, Web Worker, `convertToBlob`, IndexedDB). It's a free choice, not a spec question.

**On the GitHub repo:** yes, it's yours — I wasn't implying otherwise. The point was only that it trails Gitea: its `main` sits at `13bfa79`, which is Gitea `main` (the old pile). `doc-simplification` is 27 commits past that and exists only on Gitea. So nothing to read from GitHub for this work.

Two things left before I touch disk:

1. **Working copy** — OK to make a fresh clone of `doc-simplification` into a new directory? (`~/src/SlabUploader` is stale and diverged, and I won't overwrite it without a say-so.)
2. **Stack** — pick it or let me pick. I'd take Vite + TypeScript with no router: M1's five states are a single flow with a persisted step index, so a router adds nothing, and it keeps the mask worker and IndexedDB seam thin.

## 20260912-214956 session 20260912_135105_4bc663f4

**user:** So I wanna ask a question which is, should we be utilizing the deep seek harness on the PC for this kind of work?

**assistant:** Short answer: yes, for the right slice of it — but not as configured this minute.

**Blockers, checked just now:**
- `dsh` is installed and on PATH (`0.1.5-rc.1`), but the web UI isn't running (3080 dead).
- Its default model points at `qwen5090` → `http://deepblueubu:8084/v1`. **That endpoint is down.** deepblueubu is online on the tailnet (active, direct), but nothing is listening on 8084 — llama.cpp isn't running there.
- Fallback that *is* live: `qwen5060` → `http://ubudual5060:8082/v1` (200 OK, Qwen3.8-27B). Local freetoken on 1919 is also up.
- Side note: your dsh settings still carry an `ollama` provider entry pointing at 127.0.0.1:11434. Stale — ollama's gone from this box.

**Why it fits M1:** `CAPTURE.md` is a closed spec with stated acceptance criteria and a bounded file count — the exact shape dsh handles. Precedent on this box: a 16-file WordPress theme plus preview, screenshot, zip and README in ~70 min unattended on the 5090 rig. Budget M1 at 1.5–3 h, and expect it to write nothing for the first ~15–20 min while it plans. Run it backgrounded with notify.

**Why I wouldn't hand it the whole thing:** the deterministic core is where a 27B local model fails *silently* rather than loudly. Min-area bounding rectangle (rotating calipers), chroma thresholding, 6-inch perpendicular width sampling, `sqft = (mask_pixels / scale²) / 144`, and the 3:4 / 80% fill / no-upscale crop — a wrong answer there looks exactly like a right one. It produces plausible numbers, and you w

**user:** you realize you are not operating on the vps, correct?

**assistant:** Correct. Verified:

- I'm on **DESKTOP-81CBTV2**, user `fight`, MSYS git-bash, tailnet **100.64.0.1**. No `/etc/os-release`, `uname` = MINGW64. Windows PC.
- Gitea lives elsewhere — `gitea.vps1.afterthedemo.com` → **74.208.111.99** (public IP, off-tailnet). I reach it read-only over HTTPS, which is how I pulled the branch.
- I have **no shell on that VPS.** Repo reads and Contents-API writes are all I can do from here.
- The model rigs are also remote: `deepblueubu:8084` down, `ubudual5060:8082` up, local freetoken `:1919` up.
- `cursor` (100.64.0.3) is online on the tailnet — and the old `deploy/RELEASE-PROCESS.md` named the *cursor machine* as where dev builds run.

So it constrains the plan in a way I glossed: I can build and test an M1 working copy on this PC, and commit docs/code to Gitea over the API. I can't deploy, host, or run anything on the VPS — and the M1 spec is browser-only, so that mostly doesn't matter yet, but the container step in `deploy/README.md` will.

Where do you want the M1 working copy and dev loop to live — this PC, the cursor machine, or the VPS?

## 20260912-232943 session 20260912_153337_9485f1c4

**user:** You are Jimmy. You write the code. Do not invent product scope.

ROLE
Implement Milestone 1 only for SlabUploader. Another agent designed this. You implement it exactly.

SOURCE OF TRUTH (read these three files only)
- AGENTS.md
- docs/CAPTURE.md
- docs/PRODUCT.md (field names and destination only; do not implement Review or Create)

Working copy for this job:
https://github.com/tonyjbala-ui/SlabUploader-doc-simplification

If that repo already has frontend code, treat it as disposable. You may replace it. The docs above win over any existing code.

DO NOT
- Read docs/archive/, old IMPL-PLAN, TECH-SPEC, OPENAPI, or Gitea branch main
- Add FastAPI, WooCommerce, auth, inference URL, ONNX, OpenCV, U2Net, or an image-editor kit
- Implement Milestone 2, 3, or 4
- Create a store product on Calculate
- Upscale an undersized source photo
- Divide board feet by 12
- Use CSS preview size for mask, rectangle, scale, sqft, or PNG encode

DONE WHEN
On a phone (iOS Safari or Android Chrome): one real slab photo, approved mask, approved length-axis rectangle, user length and thickness, inventory PNG on screen, widths + sqft + bdft on screen.

STACK
- Vite + Svelte 5 + TypeScript
- Vitest for unit tests
- Static app only
- Optional: idb-keyval
- Allowed browser APIs: createImageBitmap, canvas / OffscreenCanvas, Web Worker, convertToBlob({ type: "image/png" }), IndexedDB
- Phone: iOS Safari, Android Chrome. PC: Chrome, Edge, Firefox. All other clients: hard stop screen. No app.

APP STATES (o

**assistant:** Done. Milestone 1 is implemented, committed in six slices, and verified end to end in a real browser against the production build.

**Repo:** `~/Projects/slabuploader` (clone of `tonyjbala-ui/SlabUploader-doc-simplification`), branch `main`, 6 commits, **not pushed** — say the word and I'll push.

**Files touched**
- Created (exact layout from the brief): `frontend/package.json`, `vite.config.ts` (vitest folded in), `tsconfig.json`, `index.html`, `src/app.css`, `src/main.ts`, `src/App.svelte`, `src/lib/browser/gate.ts`, `src/lib/draft/store.ts`, `src/lib/image/{mask,overlay,minAreaRect,sampleWidths,encodePng}.ts`, `src/lib/math/{scale,area}.ts`, `src/workers/mask.worker.ts`, plus the 4 required test files, `Dockerfile`, `nginx.conf`, `README.md`.
- Deleted as strays that fought the layout (authorized as disposable): `src/lib/{normalize.ts → image/, axis.ts, constants.ts, units.ts, widths.ts, math.test.ts, gate.test.ts}`, `scripts/check-math.mjs`, `vitest.config.ts`.
- Untouched: root `README.md` still documents `node scripts/check-math.mjs` — one stale line, needs your call since it's outside the frontend.

**Test results**
- `npm test` → 4 files, **23 tests passed**, including all five required: scale 4000/80=50; sqft 500000/2500/144→1.39; bdft 1.39×2=2.78; 2-decimal rounding with the formula untouched; sampler 200×50 rect at 10 px/in → avg **5.00 in** exactly.
- `npm run build` → clean, worker emitted as its own chunk.
- Browser smoke test (headless Chrome, 390×844 mobile v

**assistant:** Those are the two earlier smoke-test runs I'd already read from their output files (both used by the verification above) — no change to the result: 23/23 unit tests, 18/18 browser checks, 6 commits unpushed.

**user:** Push the six commits to tonyjbala-ui/SlabUploader-doc-simplification on main.
Then one small commit only:
Root README — remove scripts/check-math.mjs. Run line is: cd frontend && npm install && npm test && npm run dev
Browser gate is brand-strict, not engine-strict. Allow: iOS Safari, Android Chrome, desktop Chrome, Edge, Firefox. Hard-stop everything else, including Brave, Vivaldi, Opera, Android Firefox, and iOS Chrome.
Do not touch mask, math, PNG, or draft.
Reply with the pushed commit SHA and the gate file diff.
Do not call Milestone 1 done. Acceptance is a real phone and a real slab, not headless Chrome.

**assistant:** Pushed.

**SHAs on `main`**
- `181f5f2` — the six Milestone 1 slice commits (pushed first).
- `fcb346a` — root README run line → `cd frontend && npm install && npm test && npm run dev`.
- `8f4c360` — browser gate, brand strict. **`main` is now at `8f4c360`.**

**Gate file diff** (`frontend/src/lib/browser/gate.ts`, `181f5f2..8f4c360`)

```diff
- * Phone: iOS Safari, Android Chrome.
- * PC: Chrome, Edge, Firefox.
## 20260912-235151 session 20260912_153337_9485f1c4
**user:** The SHA is on GitHub. I’ll read the actual tree and the files that matter for capture, not just the gate diff.Jimmy did the two fixes. SHA 8f4c360 on tonyjbala-ui/SlabUploader-doc-simplification is the working copy. Gate and README match what we asked. Math, mask, PNG, draft look like the spec.
Do not give him more tickets. The next failure will come from a real photo, not from another prompt.
Tell Jimmy:
Received. main is 8f4c360. Gate and README are accepted.
Stop coding. Do not start Milestone 2. Do not “improve” the mask.
Parked until we run this on a real phone with a real slab. If that test files a bug, you will get one slice and a failing case. Nothing else.
You, today
git clone https://github.com/tonyjbala-ui/SlabUploader-doc-simplification.git
cd SlabUploader-doc-simplification/frontend
npm install && npm test && npm run dev
On the phone, same Wi-Fi, open the Vite URL in iOS Safari or Android Chrome.
Walk this once:
Add photo — slab on green or black sheet, sheet fills the frame, top-down.
Mask — Auto, drag sensitivity, wait a full 2 seconds, approve only when just the slab remains.
Axis — rotate if the line is across the short side, approve.
Measure — real length and thickness, Calculate.
Confirm PNG + min/max/avg width + sqft + bdft on screen.
Refresh → Continue lands on Measure with the same numbers.
Start fresh clears it.
Write down only what breaks (empty mask, sheet still in the PNG, wrong axis, Resume flicker). Send that here. Then Jimmy gets one slice.
**assistant:** Received. main = `8f4c360`. Parked — no coding, no Milestone 2, mask untouched.
One correction to your walk-through before you run it: the dev server printed `Network: use --host to expose` in my runs, so plain `npm run dev` binds localhost only and the phone will get nothing on the same Wi-Fi. Use:
cd SlabUploader-doc-simplification/frontend npm install && npm test && npm run dev -- --host
Then open the `Network:` URL it prints. Windows Firewall may prompt — allow private networks.
Two things to expect on a real slab, so they don't read as bugs: the busy spinner shows only if a pass runs past 300 ms, and on a photo big enough for the 1600 px floor a mask pass is not instant on a phone. Anything that actually breaks — empty mask, sheet left in the PNG, axis across the short side, Resume flicker — I'll take as one slice with the failing case.
