user: The nvme only

assistant: Not a guess — here's the actual accounting from the preflight:

On-disk: 93 GB (C: has 123 GB free → 30 GB headroom). It breaks down as:

  • Model downloads: 50.3 GB — already the slimmest variant (vdn-minimax-h3-edge, rowwise FP8):
    • video weights 22.9 GB · text encoder (Qwen3VL-32B) 16.4 GB · decoder/VAE 11.0 GB
    • The full model would be 87 GB of weights alone + local conversion — the edge path is the low-memory one built for exactly this GPU class.
  • Runtime: ~40 GB — CUDA 13 + torch 2.13 + triton-windows + SageAttention + Python envs, plus the installer's own safety reserve.

So the 90 GB is 50 GB of MiniMax H3 weights + 40 GB of CUDA/Python runtime. There's no smaller supported path — this is the 8 GB-VRAM-optimized route.

It's running now: step 5/16, pulling torch-2.13.0+cu130. Live, healthy.

Want me to let it finish or abort and clean up (C:\Users\fight\FreeVideo currently 574 MB)?

assistant: Stopped. All install processes are dead (only my own query shells remain).

State now:

  • Install tree killed — no freevideo/python install processes left running.
  • C:\Users\fight\FreeVideo — 9.1 GB partial (bootstrap Python + download cache + partial envs), retained.
  • C:\Users\fight\Projects\FreeVideo — 6 MB source clone, retained.
  • C: free went 115.6 → 113 GB.

Nothing deleted. When you've cleared space, say the word and I'll resume — the installer resumes from the retained cache, so no re-download of what's already fetched.

Want me to delete the 9.1 GB partial now, or leave it as a resume cache for the retry?

For context on the earlier numbers: it stalled at step 11/16 — torch 2.13+cu130 (1.78 GB) downloaded fine, it was pulling GPU-acceleration bits. Only ~10 GB written before you pulled the plug, so the bulk (models, ~50 GB) hadn't started.

Claim: GPT "Sol" and "Astra" are obscenely good at browser use → "genuinely a new paradigm," "2-3x productivity." His recipe:

  • Install Wispr (voice-to-text — dictate instead of typing)
  • Install the ChatGPT Chrome plugin
  • Brain-dump everything into Codex (with Sol or Astra on medium reasoning) via Wispr
  • Connect Notion MCP
  • Have Codex create a Notion project tracker from the brain dump
  • Create 3 separate Codex workspaces — "agent 1/2/3"
  • Point each at the Notion board; ask each to find browser-doable work and start
  • Rule: escalate anything needing a decision or that's client-facing — no emails sent without sign-off

That's the whole thread (long-form post, no media).

Read: it's a thin wrapper — voice input + a shared Notion board as the coordination substrate + N Codex agents doing browser tasks with a human sign-off gate. The genuinely load-bearing idea is the board-as-shared-state between parallel agents, which is the same pattern your fleet already runs (cron/queue + handoff files). The "3 workspaces, all reading one board" bit is just crude concurrency without locking — fine for read-mostly browser grunt work, breaks the moment two agents touch the same record.

Nothing you don't already have. Want me to test any leg of it — the Wispr voice loop, or Notion MCP as a cross-agent board?

user: Please examine all of the Hermes profiles. I would like you to tell me if they are broken and if so, where they are broken and also I would like to fix them all so they have access to all available inference. Also, my Grok OAUTH is broken across all profiles. It appears. I would like you to address that as well.

assistant: Read-only audit so far; no profiles, configs, or credentials were changed.

Hermes lists four profiles: default, jimmy, leonard, and verimail. All gateways are running, and all four report xAI OAuth as “logged in”—but that confirms stored credentials, not that Grok inference works.

Issues found

  • default: Doctor flags a mismatch between model.default (/mnt/models/...Qwen3.8...gguf) and provider brother-5060, whose configured URL uses a raw 100.64.x.x address. The model ID and endpoint need a live check before correction.
  • jimmy: Doctor flags the vendor-prefixed default deepseek/deepseek-v4.1-flash with provider nous-key. That may be a false positive because nous-key is configured as an aggregator; a real completion is needed to decide.
  • leonard: Confirmed broken auxiliary setting: auxiliary.compression.provider: nous cannot resolve because there is no Nous Portal token. Doctor says compression silently falls back to the main model.
  • verimail: Doctor found no profile-specific inference/config error.
  • Inference catalogs differ: jimmy has the built-in OpenRouter provider enabled; leonard and verimail have it disabled and instead use a pinned 35-model or list with discovery off. The three named profiles also contain both opencode-go and a separate custom oc-go provider, which may create duplicate or protocol-inconsistent Grok routes.

Grok OAuth: The xAI credentials appear to be shared from the roo

user: What happened to telegram?

assistant: Telegram's back — probe delivered. Here's what happened.

WHAT HAPPENED (Oct 5, 13:22 local)

  • Your jimmy Telegram session (started Oct 4 21:39) was mid-task on the "Luna-only providers" request you sent at 13:12. The agent ran hermes gateway restart — "=== restarting default gateway ===".
  • That command ran inside the gateway process it was trying to restart. You approved the button (13:22:34, "stop/restart hermes gateway (kills running agents)").
  • It killed its own host and never came back: Command interrupted (exit 130) → Sent shutdown notification to active chat telegram:5789896722 → Gateway stopped at 13:22:46.
  • Nothing relaunched it. jimmy has no Hermes_Gateway_jimmy scheduled task (only Hermes_Gateway_leonard and Hermes_WebUI exist), so the multiplexer stayed dead ~32 min and took all four profiles' Telegram with it.

THE LAYER THAT DIED

This host runs one multiplexed gateway (home C:\Users\fight\AppData\Local\hermes), serving default/jimmy/leonard/verimail. Its gateway_state.json showed gateway_state: stopped, with jimmy:telegram and leonard:telegram disconnected at exactly 20:22:43Z.

FIX APPLIED (restart, pre-approved)

  • hermes -p default gateway start → PID 25256.
  • Verified: hermes gateway list → all four profiles ✓; jimmy:telegram connected 20:54:32Z; outbound probe to your DM returned sent.

TWO THINGS TO KNOW

  1. It started via "direct spawn", not a scheduled task — it will not survive a reboot/login. You're currently runn

Any restart/shutdown command in the history has already run — do NOT re-execute or verify it. Report to the user that the session was restored successfully and ask what they would like to do next. Do NOT re-execute old tool calls — skip any unfinished work from the conversation history.]

assistant: Session restored. Before the interruption, I applied and read back these catalog settings:

  • OpenRouter: built-in catalog disabled; a pinned list of 32 live models—15 DeepSeek and 17 free—on all four profiles. Default-profile aliases now point to that restricted provider.
  • Nous API: live discovery disabled; 17 DeepSeek and 8 free models on Jimmy, Leonard, and Verimail. Jimmy also has openai/gpt-6-luna and a luna alias. Default has no Nous API provider or credential.

The gateway restart was underway when interrupted. I won’t rerun or verify it. Grok OAuth and the other audit findings—the default model/provider mismatch and Leonard’s compression provider—remain unresolved.

One cleanup note: the catalog probe wrote model-ID lists to C:\tmp\nous-catalog-audit instead of profile scratch; I left them there.

What would you like me to handle next?

20261005-214336 session 20261004_213907_6161c54d

user: I would like you to make it to where this Jimmy profile stops handing me audio files every time it says something. I’ve asked I think this is my fifth time. Why don’t you look that up but I’ve asked over and over and over and over and over again, and I’ve got nothing. Maybe this time you could do it for me that would be great.

assistant: You were right: last time I only told you how to stop it; I didn’t change the settings.

I found two causes: the global voice.auto_tts was true, and this Telegram chat’s saved voice mode was all. I’ve set Jimmy’s profile override to voice.auto_tts: false and changed this chat’s saved mode to off. I left the global setting unchanged so other profiles aren’t muted.

It won’t take effect in the running gateway until it reloads. The restart approval timed out; the tool confirms no restart ran and blocks me from retrying it here. So this reply may still arrive with audio. For an immediate in-chat override, send /voice off. The persistent Jimmy setting will take effect after the default gateway is restarted from a local shell.
