Tony–Ty call · 22 Sep 2026

Ty = builder stack (Slab Uploader, Hermes, After the Demo, GeoLocal). Tony = local-business loop (NAP/GBP, Rockbot, Muse, Phoenix / Overcome / Ashley). SPEAKER_02 = short shipping voice (envelope rates + written outline).

North star said out loud: close paying work, post-mortem, then process. Tools after that.

Decisions

  • Wave-one eBay postage = native eBay labels, not Pirate Ship.
  • eBay Standard Envelope is category-locked. Resistors / electronics are out.
  • 99¢ shipping on electronics = cost stuffed into price, or untracked stamp risk.
  • Sell as a US seller on purpose. China Post last-mile is real; buyers pay extra to avoid it.
  • Slab Uploader v1: no auto species/figure inference. Human sets attributes. AI writes title + short + long only.
  • Wood-expert model (Jeb / Laya) is parallel, not a ship gate.
  • After the Demo = self-hosted first, product-development only. Not life-admin AI.
  • GeoLocal beats After the Demo as the revenue bet. Slab Uploader is the boot camp.
  • Human enters GBP / passwords. Agents draft.
  • Buy Whoop now for on-demand SpO2. Do not wait on Stacy for sizing.
  • Trip: rental car, not Cybercab. North side (not all the way to Canyon Lake). Two comfortable couches, not a third bedroom.
  • Stop framework tourism until current clients / Slab v1 move.

Action items

Ty

  • Hermes food diary: photo ingredient labels, correlate allergy attacks. Beer already cut. Cider seemed fine once.
  • Photograph inventory. Muse / Regis lists and answers on eBay (caps, NTE, other SKUs).
  • Research resistor shipping without Envelope (absorb cost vs stamp risk). Get SPEAKER_02 outline.
  • Ship Slab v1 without inference call 1. Fix continue / overlay / ruler bugs separately.
  • Walk Tony through cloning the UAT / Lauren-rails template repo (Titech Internal).
  • Tag work items: Laya (open Jeb-class), Laya-on-a-1070 writeup.
  • Structure After the Demo: go-kart → 27B → frontier. Hybrid OK (expensive model designs, cheap model executes).
  • Keep using issues as the work contract (issue 99 overlay style).
  • Call mom. Buy Whoop. Book north-side stay + rental. Sac → Austin nonstop if fare is close.
  • Christian hospital bill / motorcycle rack: Muse or Grokbot to negotiate.
  • Drop Muse referral in Telegram.
  • Follow up Larry. Follow up Kim (audit already sent).

Tony

  • Close Phoenix Long first.
  • Overcome Fitness + Phoenix Salon end-to-end, then post-mortem the flow.
  • Finish Ashley digital footprint.
  • Bitwarden autofill across iPhone + PC.
  • Isenberg AEO/GEO podcast transcript → Obsidian, compress.
  • Optional: industry map of how fast AI eats each vertical.
  • Newcomer guide for people who can use a computer and still cannot pick a starting project.
  • Set up Muse when partner is home. Check Grokbot Team marketplace, Steal-the-Business, Dr. Eggbot.
  • Cold-target local businesses with wrecked NAP. Example price on call: ~$350 one-shot cleanup.

SPEAKER_02

  • Written outline of sports-card envelope shipping so Ty does not reconstruct it from voice.

Stack mentioned

  • Apps / harnesses: Hermes desktop, Oh My Hermes, Hermes bot mode, Muse app (not Meta Muse model), Rockbot / Grokbot, Grok build, Open Code / Open Code Go ($10/mo), Cursor, DC harness, Fable, Jeb / Jev playground, Lev / Jeff Maker, Laya
  • Models: Swift (3.8 27B-class Q5 on 5090), Kimi 2.5, Grok 4.6 medium, DeepSeek flash 0731, “bond” 27B on a 3060 ~50 tok/s
  • Hardware: 5060 (often the Hermes UI / deploy box), 5090, spare 1070, Tony’s 3060
  • Repos / products: Slab Uploader, Verapath, After the Demo, GeoLocal, Titech Internal template, WooCommerce
  • Clients / sites: Overcome Fitness, Phoenix Salon, Phoenix Long, Ashley, Larry, Kim
  • Other: Bitwarden, Gitea, Whoop, Dr. Eggbot, config bot (Tailscale), RemediateBot, Muse Cases (X), Isenberg AEO/GEO podcast

eBay / shipping

  • Pirate Ship already has an account + Christmas-rate warning. Do not use it for wave one.
  • Standard Envelope allow-list: trading cards, coins, paper money, postcards, seeds, patches, stickers, decals. Not electronics.
  • Envelope label cost when allowed: ~$0.82–$1.40 for 1–3 oz. Tracked first-class in Ty’s category: ~$4.99–$5.50.
  • Prompt to start the Muse thread: “I know on eBay you can ship sports cards using envelope rates.” Then ask about resistors.

Slab Uploader

Current loop:

  1. Gallery photos
  2. Background / mask (fuzzies still)
  3. Ruler rectangle (UI is wrong; will replace)
  4. Manual length + thickness
  5. Board feet / sq ft / crop / axis line
  6. WooCommerce categories already wired
  7. Inference 1 = attributes (species, bookmatch, live edge, figure) — bad, three clicks → three species
  8. Inference 2 = SEO title + short + long — blocked on good attributes

v1 cut: skip step 7. Type maple + traits. Keep step 8. Build wood expert in parallel with Jeb primitives (new / choice / score).

Rails already in place: launch Hermes from slab-uploader folder so session binds to checkout + branch; UAT deploy docs; Gitea is the only door (SSH key, tests must pass).

Last 10% rule they both repeated: prototype is fast, glue takes months.

After the Demo / GeoLocal

  • After the Demo audience: never-coded through 20-year devs.
  • Product: guided end-to-end projects (Hello World web, Hello World iOS, then medium, then hard). Not tool tours.
  • Non-code checklist that belongs in “after the demo”: compliance, help files, CS loop, refunds, live-site debug, reports.
  • Premium idea: extra skills + user-contributed skills (Patreon-style).
  • Post-mortem skill: sanitize session logs, tutor the operator at their depth, fewer wasted tokens.
  • GeoLocal is the money: long tail of mom-and-pops who still need NAP / GBP / Apple Business / messy real-world presence. One-button ChatGPT may or may not eat that in 1–2 years. Unanswered.

Operating theory

  • LLMs compound error. Soft files (AGENTS.md, skills) are suggestions. Build scripts and tests are rails.
  • Lauren talk: 1,200 PRs/mo → 2,500. Path of least resistance must be the correct path. No agent comments in code (next agent treats them as hints → rot).
  • Use industry words the models already know: UAT, TDD, post-mortem.
  • Rockbot wins “serve me the next ticket.” Hermes wins local GPU + modular skills + cheaper tokens if a chief-of-staff hybrid works.
  • Sep 2026 frame they used: Jan–Mar = agentic frameworks. Aug–Sep = collaborative bot frameworks.
  • Cookie-cutter after the first paving. First UAT deploy was slow. Now a change is routine.

Family / travel

  • Mom texted ~10–11 night before. Call her. She is on oxygen and sounded clearer on a good day. Fear: harder to reach, then the next call is Stacy.
  • Stacy: nebulizer world, hates three-way chat.
  • Whoop for on-demand SpO2.
  • Book soon. Prefer nonstop Sacramento → Austin (~3h) if price is close.
  • Mom uses the couch, not the bed. Filter Airbnbs for two good couches.
  • North side of the region > San Antonio proper. Not all the way to Canyon Lake.
  • Rent a car. Cybercab is a gimmick for this trip (~$80 saved vs two cab rides, and they still need a car).

Open loops

  • Hermes never popped a clean GBP login pane on the call.
  • Steal-the-Business bot may only be a prompt.
  • Open Code Go: Tony paid, does not understand it.
  • Bitwarden cross-device: named, not done.
  • One-button vs GeoLocal helper in 12–24 months: asked, not answered.
  • iOS Hermes app (Simons): watch only.
  • Config bot for Tailscale resets / falls off.

Quotes worth keeping

  • “I need an outline. Talking on the phone I’m not gonna remember the process.”
  • “Slab Uploader is my boot camp so I can go get into GeoLocal.”
  • “What matters is moving the needle. Get Overcome Fitness. Get Phoenix Salon. Post-mortem. Then build process.”
  • Train analogy: best engine on earth until it leaves the rails.
  • Race-car analogy: go-kart → dirt track → NASCAR. Do not hand a new driver Fable first.
