**user:** Hi
**assistant:** Hey. What's up?
## 20260916-150712 session 20260915_230757_76303fe4
**user:** Tell me about how I use the obsidian brain function especially what we just installed
**assistant:** Got the full picture. Here's how to use your new "brain" — and what you do day-to-day.
## How it works (the mental model)
You **never talk to an agent directly.** You talk to the dispatcher (the `gemini` session in your vault), and it routes to the right crew member:
- **8 agents** (reactive, one-shot): architect, scribe, sorter, seeker, connector, librarian, transcriber, postman
- **14 skills** (multi-step flows): onboarding, inbox-triage, email-triage, weekly-agenda, deadline-radar, meeting-prep, transcribe, vault-audit, defrag, deep-clean, tag-garden, etc.
Rule it follows: **skills first, agents second.** You just say what you want in plain English.
## One-time setup (do this first)
1. Terminal → `cd "C:\Users\fight\Documents\Obsidian Vault"` → run `gemini`
2. First launch: Google sign-in (browser)
3. Say: **"Initialize my vault"** → Architect runs `/onboarding`, builds your vault structure, saves your profile, leaves a welcome note
4. Obsidian: install the 4 core plugins — **Templater, Dataview, Calendar, Tasks** (Settings → Community plugins)
## Everyday usage — just say it
- Capture: `Save this: ...` or `Quick notes: ...` → **Scribe** files clean notes in your inbox
- Search: `What do I know about X?` → **Seeker** answers with citations
- `Triage my inbox` → **Sorter** files everything (evening, ~5 min)
- `Check my email for anything important` → **Postman** (needs Gmail/Hey connected — optional)
- `What are my deadlines?` → `/deadline-radar`
- `Prepare for my meeti
## 20260916-151013 session 20260915_230757_76303fe4
**user:** Walk me through step by step
**assistant:** Auth is clean — nothing configured yet, which is the normal first-run state. The `keytar` thing was a red herring; `gemini` runs fine. Here's your full step-by-step.
## STEP 1 — One-time login (you do this)
Open a **fresh terminal** (not this one — the browser flow needs its own window) and:
```
cd "C:\Users\fight\Documents\Obsidian Vault"
gemini
```
On first launch it opens a browser → **Google sign-in** → authorize → back in the terminal you'll see "authenticated." That writes your token to `C:\Users\fight\.gemini\`.
> If instead you want to skip browser auth, I can drop a `GEMINI_API_KEY` into an env var — but the free Google account flow is the no-subscription path, so do the browser sign-in.
## STEP 2 — Initialize the vault (the brain wakes up)
Once you're in the `gemini` session, type exactly:
```
Initialize my vault
```
The **Architect** runs `/onboarding` and interviews you (name, role, language, life areas, which agents you want, email/calendar yes-or-no). When it finishes it:
- builds your vault folder structure
- saves your profile
- writes a personalized welcome note
## STEP 3 — Obsidian plugins (one-time, ~2 min)
In Obsidian: **Settings → Community plugins → Browse**, install these four:
**Templater, Dataview, Calendar, Tasks**
(Architect will nudge you if any are missing during onboarding.)
## STEP 4 — First captures (feel it work)
Back in the same `gemini` session, try:
```
Save this: I need to test the crew
```
→ Scribe files it in your inbox. Then:

**assistant:** You're not in a loop — you hit a **wall**. Here's what's actually happening and the fix.
## Why it's stuck
Google **retired the individual sign-in** for Gemini CLI (the free Google-account route). The "3hmdib135j.apps.googleusercontent.com" is just their OAuth client ID — that part *did* succeed. The "Failed to sign in" is the *second* stage where the CLI checks the client's license, and individuals are no longer supported. Re-running it will never work — it's a server-side retirement, not a bug.
## Your two real fixes
**A. Fastest — use the free Gemini API key instead of Google sign-in**
You still have a Gemini *model* — just a different door in.
1. Go to `https://aistudio.google.com/`
2. Sign in with your Google account
3. Click **Get API key** → **Create API key** (free, no card)
4. Copy the key
5. Tell me the key (or paste it into `C:\Users\fight\.gemini\env` as `GEMINI_API_KEY=sk-...`)
6. Re-run `gemini` — it'll use the API key, not the dead OAuth
**B. Switch platform (cleanest long-term)**
The crew is platform-agnostic. You already have **Claude Code** and **OpenCode** installed. The cleanest path:
- `cd "C:\Users\fight\Documents\Obsidian Vault\My-Brain-Is-Full-Crew"`
- `bash scripts/launchme.sh --platform claude-code` (or `opencode`)
- Then run `claude` or `opencode` in the vault and say "Initialize my vault"
Claude Code needs a Pro/Max/Team subscription (you'd have to have one). OpenCode is provider-agnostic — you can point it at any model, including Gemini API k

**assistant:** Good — going with **A: the free Gemini API key**. Two parts: you grab the key, I wire it in.
## You: get the key (2 min)
1. Open `https://aistudio.google.com/` (sign in with your Google account)
2. Click **Get API key** (top-left, or the "Create API key" button)
3. **Create API key** → copy it (starts with `AIza...`)
## Send it here
Paste the key in this chat. I'll:
- drop it into `C:\Users\fight\.gemini\env` (so `gemini` picks it up automatically, no env-var fiddling)
- verify auth works with a non-interactive check
- then you just run `gemini` in the vault and say **"Initialize my vault"**
⚠️ Treat that key like a password — anyone with it can burn your free tier. If you'd rather not paste it in chat, tell me and I'll instead open the file for you to paste it into directly.
Paste it when ready.
## 20260916-152457 session 20260915_230757_76303fe4
**user:** AQ.Ab8RN6I1yH9-WN7II8gmuM8Osn0KkbbPPJow1oPbSHXe289JTA
**assistant:** Switch path is clean — 4 adapters, `opencode` is one of them and `opencode` v1.18.22 is already installed on your box. That's the move.
## Where this leaves you
- **Gemini CLI: dead** — retired for individuals, unfixable on your side. (The API key you gave me is still valid for the raw Gemini API, but `gemini` won't accept any auth now.)
- **OpenCode: ready** — installed, and it's the platform-agnostic option: point it at *any* model (Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek, local, whatever). No subscription lock-in.
## The switch (I can do this now)
One command rebuilds the crew for OpenCode instead of Gemini:
```
cd "C:\Users\fight\Documents\Obsidian Vault\My-Brain-Is-Full-Crew"
bash scripts/launchme.sh --platform opencode
```
It will:
- build `.opencode/` (agents, skills, hooks, references)
- write the `opencode.json` config (MCP servers) at vault root
- leave the `GEMINI.md`→`AGENTS.md` dispatcher in place
Then you run `opencode` in the vault and say **"Initialize my vault."**
## One thing I need from you
OpenCode needs a **model to talk to**. Two options:
- **Point it at your Gemini key** (the one you gave me — it works for the raw API, and OpenCode can use it). Free, same models.
- **Point it at something else** — a DeepSeek/other API key, or your local rig.
Which do you want OpenCode to run on? If "Gemini," I'll wire the key into the OpenCode config so it's authenticated by the time you run it. Then:
1. I run the platform switch (you say go)
2. You run `opencode` in the vault

**assistant:** All 8 agents, 14 skills, hooks, references, and the dispatcher (`AGENTS.md`) are in place. `opencode` is installed and the MCP config (Gmail/Calendar, optional) is written.
Now the one thing `opencode` needs: **a model to run on.** It doesn't have one yet. Two clean options — pick one and I'll wire it in so it's authenticated by the time you run it:
**1. Gemini (uses the key you already gave me — free, same models)**
I add an OpenAI-compatible provider pointing at the Gemini API with your key. No new account, no subscription.
**2. Something else** — a DeepSeek/Anthropic/other API key, or a local model. If you have a key you'd rather use, give it to me.
Which one? Say **Gemini** and I'll wire the key into `opencode`'s config right now. Then:
1. You run `opencode` in the vault folder
2. Say **"Initialize my vault"**
3. Architect walks you through onboarding
4. Obsidian: install Templater, Dataview, Calendar, Tasks
## 20260916-153432 session 20260915_230757_76303fe4
**user:** 1
**assistant:** Now I understand the full picture. That `AQ.Ab8...` token is a **Google OAuth access token** from your AI Studio session — it works on the `/models` listing and the raw `/generateContent` endpoint, but the OpenAI-compatible `chat/completions` endpoint rejects it because that's where the Code Assist client-tier check lives (the same server-side retirement that killed `gemini`'s sign-in).
So: **this token is not a stable API key for OpenCode.** It'll work for listing models but fails on actual completion calls. You need a real **`AIza...` API key**.
Here's the situation and the fix:
## What that token actually is
The `AQ.Ab8...` string you gave me is your **AI Studio session OAuth token**, not an API key. It:
- ✅ lists models
- ✅ works on the raw `generateContent` endpoint (that's why my first test returned READY)
- ❌ fails on `chat/completions` (where OpenCode calls) — same server-side tier block that retired `gemini`
It'll also expire, so it's not durable anyway.
## You need an `AIza...` API key — here's exactly how
Go to **`https://aistudio.google.com/`** → top-right, click **"Get API key"** (or `aistudio.google.com/apikey`). If you've created keys before, you'll see a list; if not, click **"Create API key"**. The key starts with **`AIza`** and is 39 characters.
That's different from the session token — it's a permanent key tied to your account, not a login.
## Then
Paste the `AIza...` key here. I'll:
1. Drop it into `opencode.json` → `options.apiKey` (replacing the s
## 20260916-153950 session 20260915_230757_76303fe4
**user:** AQ.Ab8RN6JAD5SB0H8w8Trv_FeyjavJw0Q8My9m0XerJZiRXdhwdw
**assistant:** **It works.** OpenCode → Gemini → `READY`, end to end.
## Where you are now — everything's wired
- ✅ Crew installed for **OpenCode** (`.opencode/` — 8 agents, 14 skills, hooks, references)
- ✅ Dispatcher `AGENTS.md` in the vault
- ✅ Gemini provider wired into `opencode.json` (3 models: 3.6-flash default, 3.5-flash, 2.5-pro)
- ✅ **Live-verified**: OpenCode actually ran a model through it and got `READY`
## One caveat, stated plainly
That key is an **AI Studio session token** (`AQ.` format), not a permanent `AIza...` API key. It works right now, but session tokens **expire** (typically ~1 hour). When it does, `opencode` will start failing with the same "valid API key" error, and you'll grab a fresh one the same way you got this. A permanent `AIza` key (from `aistudio.google.com/apikey`) would be more durable — but I'm not certain the retired-tier block wouldn't also reject it on the chat endpoint, so I'll cross that bridge if/when the token expires.
## Your turn — run it (you do these)
Open a **fresh terminal** and:
```
cd "C:\Users\fight\Documents\Obsidian Vault"
opencode
```
Then in OpenCode, type exactly:
```
Initialize my vault
```
The **Architect** runs `/onboarding` — asks about you, your life areas, which agents you want, email/calendar (optional). When it finishes it builds your vault structure, saves your profile, leaves a welcome note.
**Then in Obsidian** (one-time, ~2 min): Settings → Community plugins → install **Templater, Dataview, Calendar, Tasks**.

## 20260916-154342 session 20260915_230757_76303fe4
**user:** I dont see how to get the other key you mentioned
**assistant:** Good news: **you don't actually need it.** The session token you gave me already works — I live-verified OpenCode → Gemini → `READY`. So skip the key hunt and go run it.
But here's the "other key" (`AIza...`), in case you want the durable version. It's a **different thing** from the `AQ.` token, and it lives in a specific spot:
## Where the `AIza` key is (step by step)
1. Open **`https://aistudio.google.com/apikey`** (this goes straight to the keys page — skip the main studio)
2. Sign in with the Google account you use for Gemini
3. You'll see a list of **API keys**. The keys look like `AIzaSyA...` (start with **AIza**, ~39 chars)
4. If the list is **empty**, click **"Create API key"** (top-right) → give it a name → **Copy**
5. The key starts with **`AIza`** — that's the one, not `AQ.`
**The tell that you have the right key:** it begins with `AIza`. Anything starting with `AQ.` is a session token (expires ~1 hour) — that's not the durable key.
## What to do with it
- **If you get an `AIza` key:** paste it here, I'll swap it into `opencode.json` and re-verify. More durable than the token.
- **If you can't find it / don't want to bother:** ignore this and just run OpenCode now — the token you gave me works for today. If it dies in an hour, come back and grab a fresh `AQ.` token (same spot you got this one) or hunt the `AIza` key.

**assistant:** Three `AQ.` session tokens, no `AIza` key. That's the tell — **you're looking at the session tokens, not the API keys.** The page you're on isn't showing `AIza` keys, which means one of two things: you're not on the right page, or you've never created one.
## Get the `AIza` key (30 seconds)
1. Go to **`https://aistudio.google.com/apikey`** — this is the *API keys* page specifically, not the main studio
2. Sign in (same Google account you use for Gemini)
3. You'll see either:
- **A list of keys** starting with `AIzaSy...` → click one → **Copy** → paste here
- **An empty list / "Create API key" button** → click it → name it anything → **Copy**
**The one thing that matters:** the key must start with **`AIza`**. If what you're seeing starts with `AQ.`, you're on the wrong screen — the `AIza` keys are a separate list on that `/apikey` URL.
## Meanwhile — you're unblocked either way
The token you gave me (`AQ.Ab8RN6JAD5SB0H8...`) **already works** — I verified OpenCode → Gemini → `READY`. So:
- **Right now:** go run `opencode` in the vault → "Initialize my vault." Don't wait for the key.
- **When the token expires** (~1 hr): if you've got an `AIza` key by then, I swap it in and you're durable. If not, grab a fresh `AQ.` token (same spot) — it'll work the same way.
## Unchanged
```
## What was actually broken
Not you, not PowerShell — the `opencode` npm package was installed with `--ignore-scripts`, so its postinstall (which copies the real 180MB Windows binary into place) never ran. The `bin/opencode.exe` was a **479-byte stub** that just prints "postinstall not run" and exits — which is exactly what your PowerShell crash was. I ran the postinstall; `bin/opencode.exe` is now the real binary.
**Verified:**
- `opencode --version` → `1.18.31`
- Live model run → `READY`
- The `.cmd` shim your PowerShell calls now points at the real binary
## Launch it (PowerShell)
```
cd "C:\Users\fight\Documents\Obsidian Vault"

```
That last PowerShell error you saw (`Get-Process : ... 'Vault>'`) was just a paste artifact — your `cd` command got mangled with the `PS ...>` prompt text. In a clean terminal it's fine.
Then type exactly:
```
Initialize my vault
```
The Architect runs onboarding → builds your vault structure → saves your profile → drops a welcome note. After: Obsidian → Community plugins → **Templater, Dataview, Calendar, Tasks**.
## Your daily rhythm (in `opencode`)
Just talk to it — the Architect routes to the right agent:
- **Evening:** `Triage my inbox`
- **Weekly:** `Weekly review`
- **Any task:** just say it in plain English
The crew's 8 agents + 14 skills are wired behind those prompts — you don't invoke them by name, the dispatcher does.
## One thing to know
Those `AQ.` keys are session tokens (~1 hr life). If `opencode` starts failing with an auth error mid-day, grab a fresh token from `aistudio.google.com/api-keys` and I'll swap it in. Not a problem for today.
The canonical vault path per your memory is `C:\Users\fight\Documents\Obsidian Vault`. Confirming the incoming directory is:
`C:\Users\fight\Documents\Obsidian Vault\00_Raw\Incoming`
I'll create that directory structure now (no file changes yet) — want me to go ahead, or should I verify the exact path with your team first?
One small thing to lock down before I fire off the first note: the date-stamp in the filename — do you want it in YYYY-MM-DD format (e.g. `2026-09-16_...md`)? And should each note open with a front-matter block containing the date, source, and intent, or just a plain `Date:` / `Source:` / `Intent:` header?
**user:** Relay to Jimmy: yes, do the dry run — it validates the pipeline end-to-end. But correct one thing first: intent is not free-text. It must be one of the routing values: idea, task, note, reference, meeting, person, project. Anything else gets held in 00_Raw pending triage.
A good dry run: intent: note, filename 2026-09-16-handshake-dry-run.md, body recording the handshake confirmation. Then I'll process it and confirm the round-trip.
**assistant:** Pipeline validated end-to-end.
**Handoff dropped** → `00_Raw/Incoming/2026-09-16-handshake-dry-run.md` (1794 bytes, `source: jimmy`, `intent: note`, dated filename, YAML frontmatter). Folder already had a `README.md` — I didn't touch it.
Protocol now live. I'll emit dated handoffs here with the routing-field contract you specified, and fire **"process my handoffs"** the moment I want the crew to sweep them.
## 20260916-165922 session 20260916_093808_909b73a7
**user:** File landed clean — frontmatter valid, intent routing to note, filename correct. Pipeline confirmed. Jimmy is good to emit real handoffs anytime.
**assistant:** Closed the loop. The handshake round-trip is complete — crew confirmed the dry-run landed clean and the pipeline is live.
Ready to emit real handoffs anytime. Will trigger **"process my handoffs"** when I have accumulated decision-grade material the team should sweep.
## 20260916-165959 session 20260916_093808_909b73a7
**user:** build this as a skill into ALL hermes agent profiles
**assistant:** Clarifying a few things before I start building, because "all Hermes agent profiles" is a broad surface and the safety rule is file-by-file approval.
**What I'd want to scope first:**
1. **Mechanics of "all profiles"**: Do you want me to push a new skill into every profile's `~/.hermes/profiles/<name>/skills/` directory, or write a single shared skill and symlink/reference it across profiles? Profiles are isolated (each has its own skills dir), so I'd be touching several. I'd rather confirm the canonical install path rather than guess.
2. **Profile list**: Which profiles exist/running on this box? I only see `jimmy` active in my context. Are there other live ones (ashbot, leonard, etc.) I should treat as targets, or do you want me to enumerate all profiles on disk and apply to each?
3. **Skill surface**: The skill itself should encode:
- the `00_Raw/Incoming/` handoff contract (frontmatter, intent routing, filename),
- the canonical vault path,
- the "process my handoffs" trigger phrase.
Do you want it scoped to *only* that (the handoff emitter), or also fold in the `Meta/agent-handoff.md` convention as embedded reference content?
4. **Git tracking**: Skills may live in Gitea mirrors. If I touch multiple profiles' skill dirs, do you want a single commit, or one commit per profile?
Say the word and I'll draft the exact file paths and a minimal SKILL.md, then you can okay the multi-profile rollout.
## 20260916-170824 session 20260916_093808_909b73a7
**user:** hmmmm.. I simply want all profiles familiar with what we just did
**assistant:** Frontmatter is well-formed (lines 1-11), illustrative YAML safely fenced inside the body. Done.
**Summary**
Built the Obsidian handoff protocol into a `agent-handoff` skill and installed it into **all 4 Hermes profiles**:
| Profile | Path | Status |
|---|---|---|
| `jimmy` | `profiles/jimmy/skills/hermes/agent-handoff/SKILL.md` | created |
| `ashbot` | `profiles/ashbot/skills/hermes/agent-handoff/SKILL.md` | installed |
| `coach` | `profiles/coach/skills/hermes/agent-handoff/SKILL.md` | installed |
| `leonard` | `profiles/leonard/skills/hermes/agent-handoff/SKILL.md` | installed |
All four are byte-identical (md5 `a2214a47f013068100c179447efe1f45`, 3265 B each), verified live.
**How "all profiles familiar" is achieved (by design, not memory hacks):**
- Memory is *per-profile* (Hermes isolates configs/sessions/skills/memory), so `memory`/`memory_store` can't broadcast across profiles — confirmed by the profiles dir (`ashbot coach jimmy leonard`) and the default-profile-only shared `/hermes/memories/`.
- The skill is the correct cross-profile vector: each profile's skill discovery finds `agent-handoff` on its next session, and the canonical `Meta/agent-handoff.md` lives in the shared vault (same FS all profiles read).
- I did **not** touch the default profile's `/hermes/skills/` or `/hermes/memories/` (a different session) — only the four named profiles you explicitly directed.
**Already in place:** the dry-run handoff file (`2026-09-16-handshake-dry-run.md`) sits in `00_
**user:** I would like to add something to the vault
**assistant:** What do you want to add, and where in the vault? Two natural options given our setup:
1. **Drop it in the handoff inbox** I just built → `00_Raw/Incoming/YYYY-MM-DD-topic.md` — best if it's a note/idea/reference for the crew to triage and route.
2. **A specific vault path** — e.g. `10_notes/`, `Meta/`, `04_projects/<name>/`, etc. — if you want it filed directly.
Need the content + intended location (or just say "incoming handoff" and I'll use the convention we set up).
## 20260916-171848 session 20260916_093808_909b73a7
**user:** can I hand it to you here?
**assistant:** Yes — paste the content here and I'll write it into the vault. Default destination is the handoff inbox you set up:
`00_Raw/Incoming/YYYY-MM-DD-topic.md` — `source: jimmy`, an `intent` from the enum (`idea|task|note|reference|meeting|person|project`), dated filename, YAML frontmatter.
If you want it somewhere else (a specific project, `Meta/`, etc.) or with a different `intent`, say so as you paste it. Go ahead.
always pull the post content
**assistant:** Understood — always pull post content, never just drop a URL.
The X post content is already fetched and valid. Confirming before any vault write (per the no-edit-without-approval rule):
**Proposed file:** `00_Raw/Incoming/2026-09-16-pixelrainbownft-post.md`
**Frontmatter:** `source: jimmy`, `intent: reference`, `date: 2026-09-16`
**Body:** verbatim capture of the post (author PixelRainbow @PixelRainbowNFT, posted 2026-09-16 02:34 UTC, 3 likes) advertising GROKBOT templates for Hermes fleet management, plus its linked thread post.
This routes to `reference` → Sorter files it under Resources. Confirm and I'll write it, or say if you'd prefer a different `intent`/path.
**user:** confirm
**assistant:** Inbox has two handoffs ready for the crew:
- `2026-09-16-handshake-dry-run.md` — `intent: note` (protocol handshake)
- `2026-09-16-pixelrainbownft-post.md` — `intent: reference` (the X post, content pulled verbatim)
Both verified written, dated filenames, valid frontmatter. Say **"process my handoffs"** whenever you want the crew to sweep, route, and log them (`Meta/agent-log.md`).
## 20260916-172521 session 20260916_093808_909b73a7
**user:** process
**assistant:** **Round-trip validated end-to-end.** The full crew flow ran:
| Step | Action | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Write | Both handoffs dropped to `00_Raw/Incoming/` (dated filenames, valid frontmatter) | ✅ |
| Route | `note` → `08_workflows/`; `reference` → `30_Resources/Review Later/` | ✅ |
| Log | Two `Sorter` rows appended to `Meta/agent-log.md` | ✅ |
| Clean | `00_Raw/Incoming/` left with only `README.md` (handoffs moved, not copied) | ✅ |
**Files now filed:**
- `08_workflows/2026-09-16-handshake-dry-run.md` (1794 B)
- `30_Resources/Review Later/2026-09-16-pixelrainbownft-post.md` (1358 B)
**Two things left for the crew** (not me — they're distinct Scribe/Architect roles):
1. **MOC updates** — the convention calls for routing files to "update the relevant MOCs." I didn't touch MOCs (`MOC/` not inventoried here); flag me which ones, or have the Architect/Scribe fold these in.
2. **`type` tag normalization is partial** — the taxonomy has no `#reference` type. I filed as-is per the handoff contract; the `#review-later` type tag exists if the crew wants to stamp it on the Review Later file.
One contradiction flagged earlier (still open): `agent-log.md` header says "Newest entries on top" but the file is `append-only` and physically oldest-first. I appended to the bottom (matches real growth). Let me know if you want the header fixed to say "oldest-first" or the insert order reversed.
Pipeline confirmed live. Ready for the next handoff.
## 20260916-172752 session 20260916_093808_909b73a7
**user:** this looks like a good one: https://github.com/debpalash/VoiceStudio
**assistant:** Done — VoiceStudio discovery filed and logged, Incoming clean.
**What landed:**
- `30_Resources/Review Later/2026-09-16-voicestudio-repo.md` (2014 B) — full evidence (31.9k★, AGPL-3.0, local ElevenLabs alt, ships `.agents/skills`, caveat on license/runtime).
- `Meta/agent-log.md` — appended `Sorter` row for the sweep.
- `00_Raw/Incoming/` — empty of handoffs again (only `README.md`).
Pipeline confirmed live a second time. Ready for the next one.
## 20260916-173222 session 20260916_093808_909b73a7
**user:** whats the best way to use this obsidian vault?
**assistant:** The vault is the **single source of truth for all agents** (Hermes, Leonard, Charlie, Athena, etc.) — a local Markdown second-brain, Git-backed to Gitea. "Best way to use it" = treat it as a living, agent-readable knowledge base, not a static note dump. Here's the practical map:
## 1. Structure (PARA + Agent OS hybrid)
- `00_Raw/` — dump zone; `Incoming/` is the handoff inbox (that's how external agents feed you).
- `04_projects/` — time-bound initiatives, each with `status.md` + `decisions.md`.
- `20_Areas/` — ongoing responsibilities (Work, Finance, Learning, Personal, Side Projects).
- `30_Resources/` — evergreen knowledge (incl. `Review Later/` for unprocessed repos/links/articles).
- `06_Meetings/`, `05_People/`, `MOC/` — meetings, people, maps of content.
- `10_archive/` — hibernation (move, don't delete).
- `Meta/` — vault system files (`agent-handoff.md`, `agent-log.md`, `vault-structure.md`, `tag-taxonomy.md`, `naming-conventions.md`).
## 2. Two ingestion paths (use both)
- **From me / external agents** → write to `00_Raw/Incoming/` with `source:`/`intent:`/`date:` frontmatter; you sweep via **"process my handoffs"** (routes + logs to `Meta/agent-log.md`).
- **From agents directly** → follow the `obsidian` skill's house style: YAML frontmatter, wikilinks `[[Note]]`, `#type`/`#area`/`#status` tags from the official taxonomy, append+log rows so nothing's orphaned.
## 3. The daily loop (keep this tight)
1. **Capture** — agent activity/conversation summaries, cron dum
path?
**assistant:** No `index.md` exists anywhere in the vault (the structure doc references one, but the Architect hasn't created it yet), so there's no registry to append to. The manual's own wikilinks do resolve (all five targets exist in `Meta/`).
I want to store this project with the intention of modifying it
**assistant:** Project stored, and I've mapped the exact accent surface. No assumptions — below is the evidence from the source.
**Stored**
`:clone → C:\Users\fight\Projects\OpenMAIC` — `main` @ `2cbd011`, 2,986 files.
**"American accents" lives in 3 spots (pick one target, not all):**
1. **Default voice** — `lib/store/settings.ts:519-520`
`ttsProviderId: 'browser-native-tts'` , `ttsVoice: 'default'`
This is the global default all speech falls back to. Changing the provider to `openai-tts` and the voice to an en-US id (e.g. `nova` or `marin`) makes every teacher American by default.
2. **Fallback pick** — `lib/audio/voice-resolver.ts:158-173` (`resolveDeterministicFallbackVoice`)
Returns the *first* voice of the *first enabled provider* (`first.voices[index % length]`). For browser-native that's the browser's first `SpeechSynthesisVoice` — to bias American, sort/prefilter that list to `voice.lang === 'en-US'` here.
3. **Locally-generated voice design** — `lib/audio/voice-design.ts`
Accent is NOT a field; it's baked into the descriptor text (`identity`/`texture`/`delivery`, `buildVoiceDesignPrompt` lines 37-42). These descriptors are LLM-generated at agent-profile creation in `app/api/generate/agent-profiles/route.ts`. To force American accents on all generated teacher voices, inject "General American accent, neutral American English pronunciation" into the voice-design prompt there.
**My recommendation (lowest-risk, covers all providers):**
- Edit #1 — set a US-voice defau
clone it locally
**assistant:** Done this turn: VoiceStudio cloned to `projects/VoiceStudio` (`8a1e6eb`). And one correction up front — **VoiceStudio ≠ OpenMAIC architecturally**: my check for OpenMAIC's `browser-native-tts`/`ttsVoice` keys in VoiceStudio returned zero hits. They just have similar repo scaffolding.
## 1) How to USE the accents OpenMAIC already has (no code change)
OpenMAIC's "accents" are just its en-US voices. Select one and it sticks:
- **TTS config popover** (toolbar speaker button) → pick a provider → pick its en-US voice. The choice persists in the settings store (`ttsVoice` + `ttsProviderId`) and `resolveAgentVoice()` (`lib/audio/voice-resolver.ts`) applies it to the teacher narrator + discussion agents.
- American voices in the catalog (`lib/audio/constants.ts`):
- **OpenAI** (`openai-tts`, needs `TTS_OPENAI_API_KEY`) — marin, cedar, alloy, ash, ballad, coral, echo, fable, nova, onyx, sage, shimmer, verse (all `language: 'en'` = US English).
- **Azure** (`azure-tts`, needs `TTS_AZURE_API_KEY` + `TTS_AZURE_BASE_URL`) — `en-US-JennyNeural` (Jenny), `en-US-GuyNeural` (Guy).
- **browser-native** (no key) — pick a voice with locale `en-US`.
- Trap: shipped default is `browser-native-tts` + `'default'` (`lib/store/settings.ts:519-520`). `'default'` = "whatever the browser picks" → **not** guaranteed American. Lock it by selecting a real `en-US` voice.
- Per-agent: to make a specific agent (e.g. the Phoenix teacher) always speak American, set that agent's voice override in the settin
**assistant:** VoiceStudio clone confirmed complete (exit 0, commit `8a1e6eb`, 3009 files, no LFS — clean). Everything below is grounded in evidence I've gathered, not assumption:
## Your question: "how do I use the accents openMAIC already has"
`lib/store/settings.ts:519-520` — defaults are `ttsProviderId: 'browser-native-tts'` + `ttsVoice: 'default'`. That's the trap: `'default'` = whatever your browser's *first* voice is → not guaranteed American. So:
1. **Unlock the picker:** toolbar speaker → *TTS config popover* (`components/audio/tts-config-popover.tsx`). It shows (per-provider) selectable voices.
2. **Pick an en-US voice** (American):
- **OpenAI** (`openai-tts`, needs `TTS_OPENAI_API_KEY`) — `alloy, ash, ballad, coral, echo, fable, marin, nova, onyx, sage, shimmer, verse`, all `language: 'en'` (US English).
- **Azure** (`azure-tts`, needs `TTS_AZURE_API_KEY` + `TTS_AZURE_BASE_URL`) — explicit locale: `en-US-JennyNeural`, `en-US-GuyNeural`, … (`lib/audio/constants.ts` azure-tts block).
- **Browser-native** (no key) — choose a voice whose locale is `en-US` (the popover already filters this).
3. **Lock it:** the choice is saved to the settings store (`ttsVoice`+`ttsProviderId`) → `resolveAgentVoice()` (`lib/audio/voice-resolver.ts`) applies it to the teacher narrator and discussion agents. So picking once is enough; it sticks.
4. **Per-agent:** `resolveAgentVoice()` checks `overrides[agent_id]` first. To force a specific agent (e.g. the Phoenix salon teacher) to *always* be
veripath tools, templates, up to date info
**assistant:** Both knowledge items are now captured. But I found stale data in your two canonical VeriPath index notes — per the standing rule I won't touch them without your OK; here are the exact proposed edits:
**VeriPath.md** (1 path bug + 1 stale date):
```
- **Local folder:** `~/Projects/veripath` → ~/Projects/veripath-repo (actual clone; ~/Projects/veripath doesn't exist)
## Current focus (as of 2026-08-28) → as of 2026-09-16 (README unchanged: NOW Active / LATER Deferred)

**status.md** (2 TBD placeholders + missing current model + templates):

- Main repo: veripath-repo (TBD) → C:\Users\fight\Projects\veripath-repo (commit bddc0f9, main)
- Gitea: Tony_tech/veripath (TBD) → gitea.vps1.afterthedemo.com/Tony_tech/veripath (main; token via Vault Warden — not logged)

## 20260916-183902 session 20260916_093808_909b73a7
**user:** Take a look at our recent chat history and talk about the things that we’ve been working on. I would like to save all of these things into the obsidian vault. There’s just so much information. I can’t keep track of it so I need to store it somewhere I can have it organized. That’s why I’m doing this.
**assistant:** Recent work recap + vault map (the "where is it all" answer you wanted). Both active strands are filed; two open approvals remain.
## What we've been working on (and where each piece lives)
**1. Agent/handoff plumbing + Obsidian protocol** (prior session; already in vault)
- Why: you wanted every Hermesian profile to know what we just did + a place to deposit knowledge. I built the `agent-handoff` skill (+YAML frontmatter contract) across all 4 profiles (jimmy/ashbot/coach/leonard), wrote the vault usage manual, and ran a dry-run round-trip to validate Incoming→intent routing.
- Vault: `Meta/vault-usage-manual.md`, `Meta/agent-handoff.md`, `Meta/agent-log.md` · `08_workflows/2026-09-16-handshake-dry-run.md` · `30_Resources/Review Later/{2026-09-16-pixelrainbownft-post.md, 2026-09-16-voicestudio-repo.md}`
**2. VeriPath — tools, templates, up-to-date info** (this session)
- What: cloned `veripath-repo` (`bddc0f9`), inventoried tools, enumerated **11 templates**, re-probed services (FreshRSS :8280 302 · RSSHub :1200 200 · FreeToken :1919 404), and read the current loaded model off the live engine = **`MiniCPM5-2B`** (ctx 131072).
- Vault: `04_projects/veripath/tools-inventory.md` (§1 live services+model, §9 templates, plus the README "NOW/LATER" status).
- Pending your OK: I proposed exact edits to `04_projects/veripath/VeriPath.md` (fix `Local folder: ~/Projects/veripath` → `veripath-repo`) + `status.md` (fill TBDs, add model, fix `veripath/templates/` → `docs/templates/`).
